Gravel is created by smashing [[medium stones]] with a [[sledgehammer]]. The amount of gravel that can be yielded by a particular medium stone is random and highly variable.

[[medium stones]] -> cracked stones -> broken stones -> split stones -> smashed stone -> gravel

you may get gravel at any smash but you will not get something earlier (i.e. you will not get cracked stones from smashing a broken stone)

Average for me is around 50 gravel for medium stone. (tricross)

Flax seeds are planted using the Plant menu on grassy areas. There are different varieties of flax seeds which require different forms of [[Flax#Cultivation|cultivation]]. Flax seeds can be planted to produce more flax seeds or to produce flax. The later requires weeding and for some varieties watering.
