New page

Petition by Menhotep (2 signatures, 1 petitioners)
---------------------------------

Petition for the Right to Build Winecellars

We the vintners and oenologists of Egypt humbly submit to Pharoah the following:

That we be allowed to build a structure that we may further the art of making fine wines, and that this structure be called a 'winecellar'. In this structure we ask that we may store our precious nectars made from the gifts the lands have given us, specifically the grape. We ask to be able to store and age our wines here.

We would ask that this structure be made from an appropriate amount of bricks, boards, fastenings, and other products as the engineers of the lands see fit. The structure could, in our eyes, resemble our warehouses, but sunk into the ground so that the harmful rays of our harsh sun cannot harm the precious wine.

We would then ask that we could upgrade this structure with storage areas called 'bins'. Each bin would perhaps require a thermometer so that we could regulate temperature; slats made of treated wood so that we might regulate light; and other cunning devices that our engineers would devise.

Each bin would be made up of 'cells' that would house the individual wines. Perhaps each cell would have a limit as to the number of bottles that it would hold, but the layout of the access of the structure would be much like a grid, where we could click the cells and interact with our wines, keeping notes and checking the aging process.

Please, oh Pharoah, hear our call. Perhaps the construction of such a building could one day be part of a great Test for our Winemakers...
