Flaming Altar at egypt 655 -6161 owned by Star

Standing behind the pit of fire, stands a man; a large man, with eyes as black as the river that led you here. His gaze moves from Ra, to Pharaoh, to you, and he grins lasciviously; black bile drips from his mouth. He bends down over the fire and his mouth grows larger and larger, a huge gaping hole of darkness. He scoops the fire out of the pit with his hands and drops the flaming ball into his mouth. Everything goes completely black and silent. Then, there is a chuckle in the darkness, a rattling laughter that shakes the air, your bones, and the boat beneath you. But then, there is singing, from the baboons. And the snake goddesses began to glow, casting light against the darkness with every sway of their hips. And now the man who swallowed the fire, has become a huge snake, grinning at Ra. "APOPHIS!" you yell above the singing. As you name the demon of darkness and chaos, the beetle army attacks the snake, again and again. For every one beetle Apophis turns aside, three more take its place. Apophis' snake body lies battered beneath their onslaught. All of the beetle army left alive turn and look at Ra.

Ra nods to them.

The scarabs rush forth as one mass of colorful, scrabbling, insect mass and devour all that is left of Apophis.

Ra smiles at you and says above the ripping sounds of carnage, "Let us return to where this began for you." The black river follows the path west to the front of Pharaoh's Palace where you started your adventure.

(Head back to the Venery Gathering Point, where you began the Venery, you can find it near the Essence of Harmony just north of the Chariot stop.)
