Please feel free to correct/add information. I am a glassworking novice, so some info may be missing.--Tobel 18:05, 22 December 2008 (EST)

Additions

I've added some information from past tales on spiking the bench from 0. This should be useful and to some extent still valid. ( 5 steps required instead of 4 ). Also tried to make the concept of a step clearer.

Thought about just saying tick for step, but then again a step is really adding CC after an upward tick. Thoughts? Minos 00:59, 24 December 2008 (EST)

Some other note, there might be a more efficient method for CC than just keeping the bench on maintenance cycle. That needs to be experimented this tale, but since the amount of steps increased, it's probably better to keep it on maintenance as long as you're working. That is as opposed to cooling the bench to 0 and restarting with 5 steps. Minos 00:53, 24 December 2008 (EST)

Bench Properties

In previous tales, (Needs Validation, but SEEMS to work the same)

-Each bench had a unique "rise value" and a "drop value" .. after adding cc, the bench would rise every 10 seconds by the rise value, pause after X rises for one cycle, then begin dropping by the "drop value" each cycle.

-"spikes" were equal to the "drop value" x the number of overlapped cycles.
