Pharaoh: The last few years have been difficult ones for our people.
Pharaoh: It is said that in the past, Egypt had great artists, leaders, philosophers.
Pharaoh: And while some might want to follow such paths, the needs of the people are more immediate.
Pharaoh: I believe that Egyptians are a hard working people, and that through shared sacrifice, we will be able to overcome the current economic malaise.
Pharaoh: A curious happening...
Pharaoh: Scientists are reporting to me that a mysterious stranger has been visiting them, talking of an ancient philosophy, long discredited.
Pharaoh: This Stranger talks of the Seven Disciplines of Man, and has convinced a minority of our scientists to revive that philosophy through a series of Tests.
Pharaoh: I can not imagine that any Egyptian might find themselves so lacking in productive work, as to pursue these.
Pharaoh: However I believe these Disciplines, and this Stranger, to be harmless.
