The best way to get started is to complete the tasks to become a citizen, then do a "University Run" to all the universities to get all the free skills you can. Skills from schools costs materials.

After those two steps, there are a bazillion knowledge paths you can take in this game!

There are some challenging and fun skills to hone that could benefit your guildmates...here are a few suggestions, but there are many more:

'''Cooking''' is an art and a science. A great recipe can reduce the number of players needed for group activities like a dig, and greatly increase the recovery rate of your END, FOCUS, etc timers.

'''Chemistry & Paints''' are needed for many exotic uses.

'''Herbs, Mining, Fishing, Mushrooms''' If you like to go on "walkabouts", these are great things to master...helping the guild with cooking supplies and metal ore.

'''Alloys, Blacksmithing, Glass Making, Gearboxes''' Everyone has that one thing (or three!) that they just don't "get"...if you are a master at these things people will talk about you in hushed, revernt tones.

'''Beer, Wine, Pyrotechnics''' Who doesn't like to drink and watch fireworks???
