I know (or am quite certain) that the length of the genome is 45, have plenty of tests, and will add more details here if needed. First what happened &amp;amp; how you can test where the genome theory 'must be flawed':&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mutating position 7 to 'Y' removes an 'Acid' phenotype (or breaks the 'OYYG' acid chain).&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Mutating position 8 to 'Y' removes both 'Acid' and 'Color'. (one modification breaking both RROOYY and OOYYG).&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
I understand it is possible for genomes to overlap, and yes, acid and color can overlap here, but not with an acid only brekaing at a position of one prior to both breaking. At least . . .not when using 'Y' as the donor genome.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
In all cases, I was using pascarella 45s as a donor vine. I am assuming that I am gaining a Y genome, and that 'Y' is the only genome present in the long chain of Pascarella's 45s.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

My best guess is that position 8 would be like the bolded letter below:&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
