I have a very strange recurring dream. I dream that somehow I am transported each night from a strange Oceanic paradise of the distant future, back to here, the cradle of civilization. This seems to happen for some purpose which I have yet to learn. The place I come from has the unlikely name of SeaLand, although some call it Aotearoa. It is a group of mountainous and volcanic islands, shaken by frequent violent earthquakes, larger than most such in this huge ocean. It is particularly odd because despite their vast differences, in that place and here in Egypt I feel at peace and at home. In my family, it is told that my grandfather, great great grandfather and great great great great grandfather each had the same dream ...
