Roosters are male chickens, which are kept and fed barley or insects in a Chicken Coop. (More information can be found on the Chickens page.)

Roosters consume more barley per day than hens consume. Hens will lay eggs even if there are no roosters in the coop, but the eggs may not hatch if not fertilised by roosters.

Finding Roosters & Hens

To find a hen or rooster, one must first learn the Avian Selection tech at a University of Worship. Roosters are found by examining Dark Pampas Grass close to the shore of a body of water.
