-A Watch Dog is basically and enhanced cornerstone.  The Watch Dog foot print matches the outlines of a CP and protects a given perimeter around the CP.  If placed in the landscape it protects an area corresponding to the max size of a CP (64 section/rectangle).

 Watch Dogs are movable by their owners.  They can be installed in any building just like a cornerstone, and can be removed the same way.  A Watch Dog in the landscape has an image shape (TBD by Devs) that can be clicked on and picked up by its owner.
