Achievements
About Achievements
Achievements are gained when you complete certain actions or tasks within the game. They can be looked on as general game goals (as opposed to the more targeted levels, titles and test passes), but they do not appear to provide any other in-game benefit other than bragging rights.
At the beginning of the game, you (and Egypt as a whole) will only have heard of a few achievements. As players discover new achievements, they are spread around Egypt through comparison among players.
Behind the scenes, achievements may give the developers a way to track the overall progress of the game, in order to plan release timing for new features/tests/events etc.
Completing/Viewing Achievements
When you complete the requirements for an achievement, you will get a message in Main about it, and you will be able to view it on your display list:
Self (or ESC) > Special > Display Achievements
As you encounter players who have made or heard about other achievements, they will be added to your list of possible achievements as well.
Learning About/Comparing Achievements
Click on other player > Special > Compare Achievements
The other player will be asked whether they wish to compare achievements with you.
- If they agree, you will see a screen showing the player's list of known achievements on the left and yours on the right. The ones that either of you have completed will be highlighted. You may also learn of new achievements this way.
- If they do not agree, or do not respond to the request within 30 seconds, you will get a message that they do not agree.
