I've found that the Beer Calculator does not include Barley flavor when calculating Muddled. The fix is simple, and hopefully accurate.
In cell V39, enter the formula: =H24
And if you want to be fancy, you can also type Barley into cell V38 and adjust the border so it fits.

I believe I have correctly written a small Beer Calculator Modification which will show when a recipe should create a Fruity or Spicy beer.
Label cell A30 as Fruit.
In cell B30, enter in this formula: =IF(SUM(D39:H39)>500;"Fruity";IF(SUM(D39:H39)<=500;""))
Label cell A31 as Spice
In cell B31, enter in this formula: =IF(I39+J39>300;"Spicy";IF(I39+J39<=300;""))


BAD RECIPES

Sigh. There's a flaw in the spreadsheet I originally used to write the recipes listed below. When I tested the first "VP fruity honey cherry" recipe, it failed, giving a cloying beer. Comparing the spreadsheet results to the actual results, there are two possible reasons.

1) The recipe uses 82 malt and 10 wheat. The wiki statement seems to be correct, in that the brew "will produce both malt and wheat flavors, in proportion to the relative quantities of malt and wheat it contains." The spreadsheet results, however, show nearly-full production of wheat flavors, which is not what happens in-game.

2) The wiki formula for cloying is when Glucose + 0.5 Maltose is greater than Tannin + Cinnamon + Nutmeg. The spreadsheet also includes Clove as a cloying counteractant. This may still be the case. However, the spreadsheet lists 60 clove, while the game recipe only produces 6 clove. If the in-game brew did produce 60 clove (try adding more wheat) it may not be a cloying brew.

All recipes whose success is "not known" need to be revised in the Beer Calculator
