Basic Steps

  • Grow 2,000 cabbage and be prepared to grow another 500 every day. (I can grow 5 cabbage at a time, so I do ten lots and it doesn't take long)
  • Put your male and female and another donated male and 2 females in a tank. Use the ones at GVF; there is 0 reason to build your own!
  • Build a Khefre's Locker.
  • We are only interested in breeding beetles over 90% yours, so mulch the lowest % beetles in the Locker and make the 6 highest % you breeding stock

Actually Breeding

  • Once you have 6 or more attractive beetles that are 90% or more yours, get rid of everything else
  • For 90% of people, males give the color and females give the pattern
  • You can decide to just get the principle done and put any beetle over 90% into a beetle garden, OR you can decide you like beetle breeding and work towards a beetle you genuinely like

Details on Principles

Your list will say:

  • Mix any Reddish Paint (Any paint color that has "Red" in the name)
  • Mix any Yellowish Paint (Any paint color that has "Yellow" in the name)

You do not have to do this. Everyone has a personal paint recipe for every colour, and it is massively time consuming to figure out, so Dawner can make your paint and all you have to do to meet this principle requirement is take it off the paint machine.

Entering a Beetle

Click a beetle you want to enter and it will tell you what it requires:

  • 2 Mud Granite
  • 2 Small Ruby
  • 10 Concrete
  • 20 Clay
  • 12 Gold Wire
  • 5 Paint of each of two colors

All of these materials are at GVF for you to use already except the "5 Paint of each of two colors." You can find out what yours are and order them from Yendor if nobody in the Guild can make those colours.

Obviously, you can also learn to make paint if you want to it is just annoying :)
