Dirt can be gathered anywhere its icon appears (i.e. dirt terrain). Dirt action icon

Cost

It requires digging with a Shovel and starts an Endurance timer.

A slate shovel or iron shovel gives 1 dirt per action; a blacksmithed shovel of higher quality will give more (6 dirt with a q9500 shovel).

Byproducts

Depending on your Arthropodology skill level, digging in dirt can produce Blister Beetles, Clay Slugs, White Mealybugs, Mud Asps, Pickel Slugs, Queen Maggots, and Corkscrew Asps.
