Law Text

To accurately reflect the concerns and desires of Egyptian citizens, four regional jurisdictions shall henceforth be created.

Once established, all future law petitions must specify if said law affects all of Egypt or the jurisdiction of the petitioner's home region.

* Laws passed for a specific jurisdiction affect only the regions within said jurisdiction.

* Home region is selected via Voting Booths under the menu option "Change Residency". This menu option will contain a list of all regions in Egypt.

** Citizens may change their home region once every sixty (60) days. ** Citizens may choose their home region immediately upon the ratification of this act.

The regional jurisdictions are organized as such, taking into account population density and transportation networks:

* Egypt North - Lake of Reeds, Sinai, Desert of Nomads, Old Egypt * Egypt West - Cat's Claw Ridge, Valley of Kings, Desert of Shades, Four Corners * Egypt Central - River Plains, Midland Valley * Egypt South - Seven Lakes, Southern Egypt, Cradle of the Sun, Eastern Grounds

During voting periods, citizens will be able to view Egypt-wide proposals and proposals in their jurisdiction in separate menus.

Note: This law may be modified as needed by Pluribus to allow for ease of coding. The spirit of this law is to create a system of local governance whereby citizens can create laws tailored to their local regions.
