A shovel is made from 10 metal on an Anvil.

It is used in group digs to dig for stones, and can also be used to gather dirt from the ground. Both uses require dirt terrain.

Slate and iron shovels dig one unit, or one level per dig attempt. The yield from a blacksmithed shovel depends on its quality.
