Q1. For those who have never had the opportunity to interact with you before can you share a little about yourself, what you enjoy about ATITD as well as how long you have been playing?

Hello fellow players. I've played ATTID since midway through T2. Prior to T6 I played as Robare, for the older players who might not know Robby. I've taken breaks from time to time, but for the most part I've been consistently playing all these many years. While I've always been involved with large guilds as either a member or an elder, I view myself as a solo player (if such a thing is possible in this game). By that I mean I am very much a part of the social fabric of the game, but I tend to do tests and projects on my own. As far as what do I love about ATTID I could easily take up a full page relating that. In short....I love the friends I've made here, the shared experiences, the tests that challenge me in so many ways (Art, Arch, Thought, Body, Etc.) learning new skills over time, being involved with regional and Egyptian wide projects and events, and just the overall good vibe that you get from playing with fun and interesting people!

Q2. As some specific examples, would you consider any of the following playstyles as worthy of DP intervention? Obelisk queue violation, bonfiring of a clay patches to prevent others from building, using large quantities of alts to rig elections, mentorship advancement, or other test passes?

Intervention is the key word here. A DP can address these issues with individual players without using or even suggesting the ban. However, I can tell you how I feel about them. Obelisk queue violation:The queues are a nice organizational tool to minimize over building and are very big at the start of the tale. However, you could argue that they go against the spirit of Arch tests because they are about building the biggest that is possible. It should be a players choice whether they respect the queue or not. It's up to others players to decide how they react to it, but it not even close to a banable offense. Bonfiring Clay Patches: While it can be very annoying and if done too much can be borderline griefing (especially if it's a patch in someones well established camp) it is something that a DP intervention might help to resolve, but I don't see it as a banable offense. Large number of Alts: Just as in real life, there will always be people who seek an advantage if they have the resources. If a player has say.....6 alts....that's an unfair advantage and that player has to understand that there is resentment and animosity towards them. As much I would like to ban excessive alts....the mere fact that they are paid accounts would prevent me from banning them. But I would do all I could to make sure players know about the situation. Mentorship: A great test! ATTITD at it's best. However, once again...it can be "gamed"....going back to the excessive alt issue.....but the same holds true....while I find it morally repugnant that someone would manipulate that test....not gonna ban them. It doesn't really hurt anyone but the player who abuses it. Lastly, in regards to any test manipulation....while it is frustrating and sad that there are players who take advantage....that is a part of any game....it's up to us to set the bar and hold true to our sense of fair play....cheaters be dammed!

Q3. If the general consensus of the rest of the DPs were that that person should not be banned, but you felt strongly that they should, what would you do?

I think for the most part I would respect the consensus of the other DP's. It's important that all players respect the views of the majority in most cases. However, I will give you an example of something that I feel strongly enough about that I would go against the majority..... Teppy, and I think Pluribus as well, has said that if a player who is married to another player divorces their spouse after transferring all of their accumulated materials to themselves.....that is a part of the test and it isn't a banable offense. I couldn't disagree more! I find that action so morally and ethically repugnant that if the player refused to make restitution, I would ban him/her with or without consensus from DP's or other players who I respect.

Q4. How's your progress in other Leadership tests?

I've passed 3 Leadership tests. Kingmaker, Retired Pirates, and Bureaucrat. I haven't started Plantation yet....but plan on doing it later in the tale. In all honesty, while I like most leadership tests....especially Cartouche.....I'm more focused on Body, Thought, and Art tests.

Q5. How are you providing leadership in the game and amongst the player base?

I'm not a traditional leadership player in this game. I don't "lead" big projects. I don't take the lead in opening techs. I don't contribute large amounts of materials needed to open techs or build pyramids. My only claim to being a leader is in how I interact with my fellow players. I help with whatever I can when asked. I try to give new players guidance when I think it is needed. I try to behave in a way that inspires others to play the game. I try to be a role model in terms of the ethics and attitude that best serves us all. In short, I lead by trying to make sure that we keep our perspective, keep a sense of humor, and help each other out as best we can.

Q6. What specifically have you done to further the growth of the community?

I think the most visible contribution would be helping keep the Goods trading site alive. I've been a teller there since T3 and was instrumental in keeping it working since T4 when all of the original founders had left the game. While the Goods activity if far less than it has been in previous telling, I believe we are still a great help to new players. I contribute materials when I can to opening techs and building regional projects, but I don't advertise it. I specifically try to be a positive force in the game, trying to point out the good here instead of dwelling on the negative.

Q7. How many Egypt-wide events e.g Acro, Digs or others have you organized in T7?

Again,I Can't think of one event that I personally organized. I have coordinated digs early in the tale, tracking the diggers and distributing the stones. I've worked acro lines even after I passed the test, but others have organized them. If you are looking for a DP who takes the initiative a lot, I'm probably not that DP.

Q8. Spouselog allows access to ban powers. Do you know who have access to your spouse account?

My spouse is an alt. I'm the only one with her password.

Q9. As DP do you think you should share your password? Do you think a DP should have access to other DP accounts?

There is one other player in this game who has my password. I trust that player without reservations. I stake my reputation on it. As far as having access to other DP accounts, I don't care to have access, but as in the case of the player who can access my account, individuals should be able to make that decision for themselves.

Q10. What other powers would you like to see DPs hold, in the interests of improving game play?

I don't like the idea of DP's having additional 'powers". You don't have to be a DP to get things done if you have a mind to. If a player wants to ask a DP to help them in some way to get something done because they may have some credibility with more players, then the DP can do that. They don't need additional powers to do it.

Q11. What question would you like to be asked, and why?

It's been asked hundreds of times and many players say...they all say the same thing....What is your view on the ban power? The answer may be the same or some variation, but it's not important that you need to know the specific's of my view. What counts, and whatever else you might think a DP should be, is that you TRUST the player you are electing. You trust that they are a fair and reasonable person who will act responsibly with that power. That is the one real and tangible thing that a DP receives from those who elect him or her. All of the rest is hope that the DP contributes positively to the community when called upon.

Q12. Closing statement.

Thanks to Augir for organizing this. Thanks to the players who got me this far. I know 2 of the 3 other candidates, and you can't go wrong picking one of them. Regardless of outcome, it's always a pleasure to have an oppertunity for more players to know something about me. I'm having a good time this tale, as always, and I look forward to more work, fun, laughs, and bugs in the programing! Lastly, feel free to private chat me if there is something specific you would like to know. Enjoy :)

Q2. How you like T7 so far, it's better or worst than previous Tales. Which Tale was your favorite?

Q3. If the general consensus of the rest of the DPs were that that person should not be banned, but you felt strongly that they should, what would you do?

Q4. Many activities in Egypt are PvP oriented/ highly competetive. Recently some issues have been discussed in ET regarding Test of Retired Pirates. Please explain how you approach these sorts of tests and if as a player you use any method to improve your outcome like having alts/mules voting in other rounds to enchance your pass chance. Do you push/campaign your guilds to vote for you and or forming test/rounds alliances or salt rounds with players that have allready passed.

Q5. How are you providing leadership in the game and amongst the player base?

Q6. What specifically have you done to further the growth of the community?

Q7. How do you feel about sometimes heavy use of macros in this game by many players? and If there was a choice would you support complete ban of macros in the Tale?

Q8. Spouselog allows access to ban powers. Do you know who have access to your spouse account?

Q9. Please describe what you consider to be "griefing" in the Tale.

Q10. Easy question for start... Ninja or Pirate?

Q11. Who would you vote for if you weren't running this time?

Q12. Closing statement.
