Started in beta of T1. Played every tale as merek, except for T4-Bastet where I was Verix.

Crossbreeding Basics

First: Learn the tech Cross Breeding (currently available at UThought in Eastern Grounds)

Second: Have full access to at least one greenhouse.

Third: Obtain some Nut's Essence, or make it in a Toxin Kitchen.

Fourth: Perform the cross between two seeds/bulbs/vines. It takes 15 minutes for the cross to be completed.

Fifth: Plant your new hybrid and see what it does!

Cabbage Experiments

merek#2

Right: Mut's Fruition (MF)

Left: Bastet's Yielding (BY)

Theorized genome based upon solvent segment at the point of cross:

.............BCVGICINGIMIVMICINI|CIVMIVMNNB MF - 27 bases
BANGIVMCINIMCIVMGIMGIMICNCNIVMNN|CIVMIVMNNB merek#2 = 40 bases
BANGIVMCINIMCIVMGIMGIMICNCNIVMNN|IMCANGCVGIVMGAMICICMNN BY - 53 bases

  • 1 water/stage
  • 1 stage total
  • 2 cabbage yield (2+7 pyramid bonus gives 9 total).
  • 1 seed except at seed time 4 seeds
  • grows on grass only

So 2 tend stages have been removed by the cross

1 water per stage presumably comes from the right splint (MF)

Yield of 2 has been retained, presumably from the left splint (BY)

Possible genes:

  • MNN or NN for yield
  • IC for number of growth stages
