Just some notes I'd put on discussion pages of incense guide- copied here so can gather thoughts in one spot(will clean up and add to in time(hoping to get on with it soon!))

Adding to the wild theories :)

  • theory 1 resin has a set +- stat affect
  • theory 2 resin has a max ql , which perhaps differs depending on incenses flavour(citrus, clove etc)
  • theory 3 adding resin to incense with different stats from resins set stats(T1) will lower QL until a point where the stats of new resin will take over and then continual additions will increase QL to resins max- additions ove rthis start to decay QL through dilution of the incense.
  • current goals
  • 1/ find stats on each resin- testing T1
  • 2/ find max ql for each resin testing T2- compare with different flavours if T2 holds
  • 3/ find a way to increase cactus and resin herb stores to continue research

NB I did see differing value for adjective serene constitution- for the life of me I cant remeber what it was and had assumed at time there was no difference also and didnt take note- only realising later it said ------- constitution( i am taking better notes now and hope to expand this soon)- update found it was hopeful constitution Ive seen on a citrus incense once

Im mainly concentrating on resin additives atm so thought Id start discussion here as well as main page discussion. Im wondering if there is a need to expand the data to show stat change depending on incense flavour..for instance under citrus when adding towering palm i ended up with +con and -foc continually with many additions- under a pine flavour when adding towering palm it changed to and remained +perc and -focus, unfortunately I will need to redo with citrus as had added other resins already to the mix before the TP so it began as con and foc and continued to remain so after many additions increasing ql to max and then falling again..perhaps there is an addition point past which we cannot alter stats but can alter ql?? its interesting puzzle anyway :) and look forward to hearing what others find as they investigate and discovering more myself hopefully(not made that many attempts so far realistically)- please see other notes on discussion under main incense page - happy sniffing--Trillian 20:46, 20 February 2009 (EST)

Pine data

start 229 pine incense serene end bit weakness
added towering palm
result 175 pine serene perc bit forgetfull
added towering palm
result 224 pine serene perc bit forgetfull
5 more tp additions
result 290 pine serene perc bit forgetfull
1 more tp addition
result 283 pine serene perc bit forgetful
290 seems to have been max for tp in this incense.

Resin Caps

Info from Wyked Working with Clove scented: Hopefull: +con -focus

  • Pretyeka resin capped at 598 (added Q till 598, once Q was above 598 would drop Q to 598)

Fugue's work

I started with a pine batch and kept adding anaxi until the results 'planed out'. The batch went through several sets of stats on it's way to DEX/END (the anaxi stats). As it was moving, the quality was dropping, until I hit DEX/END, when it started to go up. I think this suggests a coordinate plane or something similar, and as I added anaxi, it was pushing toward its stat 'goal', and until it got there, quality dropped. It went from: CON/STR to PER/END to END/DEX to DEX/END. I intend to follow the same plan with other resins to try to build a map of the stats. I applied to "smells good inc". If anyone wants to help, has questions, or feels I'm wasting my time, let me know :-)

Also, I sniff the batch after every addition and have the numbers if people are curious.
