The last day of the month and a very BAD thing Teppy has done. Very bad indeed. I am speechless it is so bad. How bad is it? My petition for port-to-friend has been given a legal opinion of...?

Picture night. What is this? Ships? I found this lovely marina in Nomad's Paradise. It seems to be a tournament of some kind. Or is it a Yacht Club?

Ship1.jpg

Then I came upon a creature in Shabby (if it was shorter I would have thought it was a shroom.)

Creature.jpg

I took a journey up north last evening. It was quite refreshing and great foraging. I have not been working on a project except my pyrotechnics. Gathering the mats to make the proper firework has become quite difficult. I am constantly looking for cactus sap and whatnot. Lots of whatnot.

May 29, 2009 Wow have I been a slacker with the blog or what? Let's see, what has happened this week? I have been staying up way too late to watch French Open highlights because Roger Federer is in it. Music producer Phil Spector got 19 years to life for murder and that is a bit of a sad thing for me. When I was a kid all the music was from Spector's "Wall of Sound." I loved Ronnie and the Ronettes when they sang "Be My Baby." If you weren't around back in that day, a little later on, Eddie Money had a song that featured Ronnie and a sampling of that song. Ronnie was married to scary Phil back in the day also for a bit. He also produced The Beatles, Let It Be album, and if you remember what an album is, then you remember that particular one. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. In cooler news, Brad Pitt's baby mama got a scratch and it was huge news. They are staying only a few exits off the Long Island Expressway from the human and you would think that nothing else is happening on Long Island except that they are there. I will keep the following tidbit as short as possible. Jeff crashed in qualifying for Dover this week and starts 42nd. ACK. On to pyro for the weekend.

May 25, 2009 Happy Memorial Day. A big shout out to all the men and women in the armed forces. Jeff finished 14th and retains his number one ranking.

May 24, 2009 Congratulations to Helio Castroneves for winning the Indianapolis 500. Pooh on Nascar for a rainout tonight at the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, NC. The race will be run at 12 noon tomorrow and it looks like rain there also. BooBoo's human does a rain dance for NYC so she can watch the race. Just a tiny bit of sun gets her out of the house to work on her tan.

A big shout out to the residents of SA and ADN. This picture is from the ADN smokeout tonight and they did a great job and were most welcoming to all. Yippee, I taught my 800th facet to Iy-Nefer. Yes I will still acro with everyone even though I passed acro last night. I would really love to be pharaoh's acrobat but that will probably never happen. But, a girl can dream.

Thank You soooooo much Sweetnothing for zapping me at acro. Thank you Rabble for the wonderful speed acro line in Shabby tonight. YAY I got to teach as a master for the first time.... I'm so excited.

May 21, 2009 Who the heck voted on American Idol? After Danny lost I said I would not vote this week, but I thought for sure Adam would win. Yippee, Jeff is starting 3rd at the 600 in Charlotte on Sunday.

May 20, 2009 A wonderful thing has happened. My lost mine has been found by a wonderful citizen of Egypt. Djoser chatted me and heard that I was looking for my lost mine since May 4th. First, Djoser said it was being ransomed for 15k flax. (as a joke, as a joke) and then he said he would lead me to it. So tonight I think we are trekking to the mine and hoping that when I get there I put a landmark for it and write it down so I don't have to go searching for it again. I can't tell you how many times I have ran up and down Meroe looking for it, and I imagine it's in a not too far off place and I just missed it. HUGE shout out to Djoser for being such a great citizen and all around good guy. Huggers to you.

May 18, 2009 After hearing about the terrible scandal with the monkey, I went to pick up Mr.Ranger from Monkey Day Care in Meroe. I have been neglecting him terribly and both of us were crying we were so happy to see one another. I missed him so much and now I'll build him his own little pen in my cp where I can keep an eye on him. On a very cheerful note, Roger Federer beat Rafa Nadal at the Madrid Open. YAY Roger, BooBoo luvs ya.

May 17, 2009 What a great event today. Orrin Rocks and a HUGE shout out to him and everyone that participated in the event. We started off listening to the terrible tale of Phile's hubby gone missing and found ourselves up in Heavens Gate.

Phili1.jpg

As we traveled in groups across the vast region many clues were given to us. (Although I'm not thoroughly convinced that she didn't do away with him herself. This path never seemed to come up) After looking for clues and moving around the region to locate hubby we found the unthinkable. His gravesite.

Phili2.jpg

I didn't think she was as upset as she should have been. (I know IF I had a hubby I would have been more upset, and where was my darling Sami during this event anyway?) When this continues I hope that more questioning of the bereaved widow can occur and the truth be told.

This was my first time in a RP event (except of the BooBoo/Sami romance which may or may not be rp *wink*wink) and I absolutely loved it. Even after I realized I hadn't eaten dinner or done anything that I was suppose to. I hope everyone in Egypt joins in next time. Huggers to all involved.

A terrible thing has happened. Last evening, while the human went to the DooWop show, on the E! channel the following statement was made.

Akmenotep: Booboo is a traitor of the egyptian government I think. That must be why sami pays her no attention.

Many further statements were made by Akmenotep and fortunately my loving friends were there to defend me. I of course am not a traitor of the government. Unless displaying my inclination towards romance with Sami (who is not to be confused with Teppy, Wahim, or anyone else) is being a traitor. I throw myself upon the ground confused and sad that Akmenotep could be so heartless as to believe that I, little BooBoo, would do anything against the wonderful government of which I love so dearly. And on that note: Happy Sunday.

Today there is an event at 3pm. I hope that Sami shows up. He has been slacking in the appearance department and my proposals are at a low 20. I thought by now they would at least be in three figures. Come on Sami, give a girl a break. Ahhhhhh, Queen of Sami son of Pharaoh is such a nice title for you to bestow on me. Where else can you get a wife that doesn't require you to respond verbally?

Last night was the Nascar all-star race. It's the kind of show that is somewhat fun to watch, but means nothing in the standings, so Jeff is still in front for next weekends big 600 race. Tony Stewart won last night and received a million dollars for his efforts. Jeff ended up in an accident on the 92nd lap out of 100 laps and fortunately the human and I weren't home to watch it. We went to a DooWop show and a great time was had by all singing and laughing to the oldies. The Brooklyn Bridge sounded great as always and Bobby Rydell, well Bobby Rydell is still singing Bye Bye Birdie songs. Note to self: Put earplugs in whenever someone try’s to sing Bobby Darin's Mack the Knife. It's a song that should never be remade by anyone. Darin sang it the best back in the day.

May 15, 2009 YAY Speed point 3. Well it certainly took long enough, ha-ha.

Okay, so the human lives in NYC. Today the nurse at her job came over to her and said, "You look like your perspiring, and can you come to my office so I can take your temperature? You look like you are coming down with something." So the human said very nicely to her, "It's ok, I really feel fine." You see the human didn't want her business screaming all over the building. Then the nurse said, "But you really are rather flushed and you’re perspiring quite a bit and the air conditioning is on. You know the swine flu is all around." So the human didn't say anything right away because a lot of co-workers were around her. The nurse persisted, and finally the human said, "Thank you so much for all of your concern, I really appreciate it, but, I’m in the middle of having a huge hot flash, I'm irritable, I'm having a severe mood swing and if I thought that an antibiotic would make it all go away I would take it." The human smiled and said, "Have a nice day." Fortunately the nurse is a very very kind understanding person who was doing her job and will probably never ask the human a question again.

May 14, 2009 It's a very sad day. Danny was voted off of IDOL.

Here I am with a very odd looking, crooked, melted, candleholder found in Egypt. Then I realized it was a Nile Fire Mushroom.

May 12, 2009 Congratulations to truanna and Keraal on their lovely wedding this evening in beautiful Meroe. Many many tales of happiness...

Tru1.jpg

May 11, 2009 I went on a silent journey this evening to the Sinai Adn area. Lovely quiet foraging, a few shrooms, and great chat with my fellow YaYa MariahBoPeep. BoPeep rocks.

May 10, 2009Happy Mothers Day to everyone in Egypt. Yippee... Two Huge Topaz in one week. Of course, received in different ways.

Hept.jpg

Jeff came in 5th and retains his first place standing.

May 9, 2009 Real life has taken a toll this week. I missed valuable Egypt time. Good News! Jeff starts second at the Southern 500 tonight (YAY Saturday Night Race) so I get to dig with the Rabble rousers and hang out in Egypt while watching the race. Bad News! If you have driver Jeremy Mayfield in your fantasy Nascar league I would def drop him since he was suspended indefinitely for substance abuse. This is an extremely unusual occurrence in Nascar and hardly ever happens and is probably career ending.

May 6-7-8, 2009 Frustration City. I'm trying to work on my next pyro display. The problem is... RANT...how many dang acid baths do I need? It is quite difficult sometimes to get 4 people together to do a quarry, so I have been trading at the goods for my osm that I need for each acid bath. I have 4 so far and that appears to be NOT enough. Then it takes forever for the salts. Ugh! Then of course I run out of some things that I need for the mortar which I still can't get to not drop on my head at the end of each segment. I entered myself to judge in the future so I can observe the lovely fireworks. But to do it as a hobby has become quite expensive and time consuming. Yada, Yada, Yada. Haven't I cried about this before? Woe is me. I think I'm going to watch one of the gazillion shows I have on my DVR tonight and sit and eat some chocolate ice cream. Ice Cream cures everything.

May 5, 2009

The plumber is in the humans place to fix a pipe. This gave me a little time to do a bit of mining. I was never so grateful that a pipe broke ever before.

Htopaz.jpg

Never say Never

Dess3.jpg

May 4, 2009 I'm at a furious pace to build a firework worthy of display for Friday night. On a side note: I built an aluminum mine a few weeks ago and put a wp there. I needed to use the wp the other day and changed it. Now I am searching for the coords for the mine and think that I forgot to write the coords down and didn't put a landmark where it was. So somewhere in Egypt is an aluminum mine (that I had a hard time trying to figure out how to mine) that is mine. Or not. Because if I can't find the mine, then is it really mine? Kindly feel free to chat me if you find it.

Congrats to Kelly for crossbreeding her first mini-flower. It is absolutely adorable. You go girl.

Feeding the Ibis

Today I decided to go on a journey again, traveling up to Sinai, foraging and enjoying the scenery. Then out of the blue there was a gaggle of Ibis. So I slowly went over to one (I finished Safari already, so I just wanted to feed them before they were captured) and fed her a few seeds I had. We hung out a bit until the Safari Seekers arrived. I said good-bye to her (I named her Libby because she was a little ibis) and went on my way.

Plenty of shout outs to all. Thank you to all the great chefs of Egypt for the tasty food they prepared for the festival as well as the fun and joy they spread around Egypt. A shout out to Jeff for coming in 8th at Richmond after he was running first for quite a number of laps while regaining his number 1 standing in the chase, a bigger one to Mine That Bird for winning the Kentucky Derby as a 50-1 shot, you never know.

May 2, 2009 Jeff will be starting in the 2nd spot at Richmond, VA tonight. Let's Go Jeff.

May 1, 2009

It's a new month in Egypt, Happy May to everyone. OK, so I was chatting it up with the YaYa's and the subject of names came up. So I looked up my name. Now I know that BooBoo is Yogi's sidekick, (Yogi being my otter) but, but, I looked up my name in the Urban Dictionary, forever more I will never look at my name again without laughing. Something strange often happens in Egypt, the following picture shows a moment that I will never be able to replicate. How in the world did I get 5 seeds?

5 Garlic Seeds
