Holiday Snow Storms Dec 2016

It's SNOWING in Egypt. Flurries flying faster than owls and pressies falling from the sky.

The guilds Snow Hunters at the OE CS and SETI in RP help find and direct the snow flake hunters.

Pressies are triggered by 14 players standing under the eye of the storm.

  • At the 24 hours left to go mark, the number of players needed to trigger dropped to 7.
  • At the 6 hours left to go mark, the number of players needed to trigger dropped to 3.
If you use spouse warp, please exit the snow storm completely and then re-enter after the warp 
to get the storm to properly  account for the quorum needed for pressie spawn.

Unlike previous tales, the 2016 Tale 7 storms drop pressies directly for the players standing in a storm. So don't forget to pick up your pressie right away!

If there are more than 14 players storm hunting, one technique for helping others to get their pressies is to have a group stand outside of the storm aura. Once everyone is in place, the outer group then "jumps" into to trigger the pressie drop. All players inside the aura will get a pressie.

note: Only those players directly in the snow will be counted for achievements and holiday titles.
note: Only players actively participating in the storms will get pressies. (new for Tale 7)

Some storms will drop multiple presents. Early mega storms (multiple spawns) dropped 5 presents.


There are lots of new items in the present boxes and new titles for participation. The more storms you participate in, the better quality pressie.

Help for Snow Hunters

This page uses the Worship Logs to find reported snow and then maps it. It removes the marker when the coordinates are marked "triggered".

Event Acknowledgments

Tale 7 saw a complete revamp in how the Winter Holiday Snow Storms played out. It generated some unique and significant dynamics in the event and Egyptians rose to the occasion to answer the Puzzle of the Snow Fall. Many players took leadership roles during the event to assist their fellow players in gaining Presents from Pluribus. This section is to acknowledge some of them.
