This act details the means by which anything* owned by a Departed Person or Departed Guild may be claimed by a paid account..

Part I: Definitions

Definition of a Departed Person:

  1. A "trial" account which has been inactive for 14 days or more.
  2. An unpaid account which has remained unpaid for 60 consecutive days or longer.

Banned Players

Permanently banned players shall be considered 'unpaid' as of the date of their permanent exile, for purposes of this Act. Salvage or claiming rights to their possessions shall *also* remain in effect as provided by any other laws.

Definition of a Departed Guild:

A guild shall be considered "Departed" if it consists of only departed persons or the Guild Hall no longer exists.

Definition of Heirs:

Every paid player is already allowed to name 1 player as the 'Heir' of their possessions under the Last Will and Testament option.

Other Definitions:

"Days" - shall refer to real world days.

"Good" Rating is the numerical value of precisely one "Good" rating judgment on a Test.

Part II: Rights of the Heirs

Heirs' Early Rights: Upon an affected player reaching 45 days of "Unpaid" or "Quit" status, or 12 days inactive for a "Trial" affected player, that player's Heir shall be notified that the affected player is in danger of becoming "Departed". At this point, the Heir may begin to claim possessions bestowed upon him/her as allowed by this law and shall have the exclusive right to do so until the affected player reaches "Departed" status.

Guilds with Absent Elders (but not necessarily departed persons:) In the event that a guild has only "Unpaid," or "Quit" Elders, all guildies belonging to the next highest rank that contains paid player(s) will be promoted to Elder as configured by the guild:

The default 'promotion time' for a guild will default to 7 days after all current Elders have been "Unpaid or "Quit." Guild Elders shall have the option to adjust the guild's 'promotion time' with a valid range of 0 to 14 days at the guild hall.

Guilds with No Elders In the event that a guild has no Elders, all guildies belonging to the next highest rank that contains Paid player(s) will be promoted to Elder immediately.

Part III: Claiming Ownership of Departed Possessions

Departed's Possessions Except as Excluded below, anything owned by a Departed Person or Departed Guild may be claimed by any paid account.

Part IV: EXCEPTIONS
