Q1. For those who have never had the opportunity to interact with you before can you share a little about yourself, what you enjoy about ATITD as well as how long you have been playing?

I started to play atitd in the middle of t2 and I've played all the tales from that, except when real life issues make me quit for some time. What I enjoy more of atitd is to talk with friends (I've made very good friends here ) and the challenge of the tests.

Q2. As some specific examples, would you consider any of the following playstyles as worthy of DP intervention? Obelisk queue violation, bonfiring of a clay patches to prevent others from building, using large quantities of alts to rig elections, mentorship advancement, or other test passes?

IMHO, none of those cases deserve DP intervention. Obelisk queue is not mandatory. Bonfiring clay patches is a common practice and doesn't prevent building: if somebody wants to build there, the bonfires don't avoid it. People pay for alts and having more paid accounts is good for the game (there won't be a t8 if Pluribus loses money with t7). The gaming done with alts is also done with friends. Friends usually give the top score to puzzles and pieces of art that don't deserve it but the really good ones pass anyway.

Q3. If the general consensus of the rest of the DPs were that that person should not be banned, but you felt strongly that they should, what would you do?

I would not ban that player.

Q4. How's your progress in other Leadership tests?

I passed bureau, pirates and plantation.

Q5. How are you providing leadership in the game and amongst the player base?

A DP is a judge, not a leader, and I don't have the soul of a leader. I respect too much the free will of others. Freedom is one of the essencial rights that God gave us. One of my favorites quotes is this from C.S.Lewis: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Q6. What specifically have you done to further the growth of the community?

I'm not too talkative and I don't join many guilds, talking mainly in Alpha and being silent in the others. If I see a question in ET and I know the answer, I answer it. But I'm a software engineer and what I do best is to write code. So my main way to help others here is through the tools in my website.

Q7. How many Egypt-wide events e.g Acro, Digs or others have you organized in T7?

None. Others are doing a very good job with that :)

Q8. Spouselog allows access to ban powers. Do you know who have access to your spouse account?

My spouse is an alt. Technically Antilia was created by my RL wife in T4. But she got bored of the game after 2 weeks and never logged again. For some mysterious reason she prefers FB that for me is boring :(

Q9. As DP do you think you should share your password? Do you think a DP should have access to other DP accounts?

To give a password is an act of trust. And to elect a DP is also an act of trust. If you trust your elected president to be wise enough about the selection of his Cabinet, you should trust the DP about the selection of the people he trust.

Q10. What other powers would you like to see DPs hold, in the interests of improving game play?

The DP should have the power to cancel a wrong ban. I wrote a law about that but for some reason people didn't like it. Perhaps because it was too complex. I'll try to improve it.

Q11. What question would you like to be asked, and why?

None.

Q12. Closing Statement

My position about DP is this: you don't need to be DP to help people. The only thing that makes a DP different is that he can ban. So what really matters is if that power (that is seldom used) will be used wisely or not.
