Vigilant Visions was a Vigil guild in T2, brought back to T7. It is a dedicated Vigil guild, designed to get people to pass Vigil (or even just its Principles, for those who don't want to do the full Test) as seamlessly as possible.

The Tale 2 Vigilant Visions only ran one Vigil, and that alone got close to 20 people enough points to pass the Test (although only about half did it that week or the next week). Our goal is to do the same again - do one power-blast of a Vigil, and let everyone there coast through the rest of the Telling without ever having to do it again.

What Are We?

Back in the mists of history, in the time of your grandparents' grandparents, often referred to as the Era of T2, there was a Guild by the name of Vigilant Visions.

The purpose of this guild was to bring together those who sought to prove their mettle in the Discipline of Worship with the Test of the Vigil. All were welcome to participate, from those who were merely dabblers, seeking to show their interest with one or two sacrifices after which they would move on, to the dedicated Disciple, intent on proving their dedication towards the Vigil, who choose to stay for hours, possibly even days, for as long as the demands of the test can be met.

And now, today, in the Era of T7, we have chosen to follow in the footsteps of our forebears and raise the banner of Vigilant Visions once more, opening our doors to others who would take this test.

Where Are We?

Our guild house can be found in Seven Lakes, but a stone's throw south from the Chariot Stop.

The coordinates are 1403, -1251.

The location has a warehouse for the storage of goods to be sacrificed. Donations are accepted with our gratitude and the gratitude of those who join us.

There is also a compound where we hope to have a variety of facilities available to make up for any shortcomings of goods that a Vigil might require.

Plans for the eventual outfitting of that facility can be found at the following site: http://bit.ly/1LQUyEi (Google docs spreadsheet)

When Are We?

We will attempt to keep this page updated with information on when a Vigil is planned.

Upcoming?
  • Friday, Oct 9, @ 8:00pm Pacific time (Saturday, Oct 10 @ 4:00am UTC)
Past

Past Vigils may or may not, depending on the individuals managing them, have their lists of Sacrifices and other information pertaining to that Vigil linked from this list.

How Are We?

A Vigil is a demanding and time consuming Test that is best met with resolve, restraint, and much cooperation. To get the most out of your Vigil experience, please ensure that you only Sacrifice the items that the Vigil manager assigns to you. Please do your best to follow any directions given for the most rewarding experience.

If you choose to take part in our Vigil, please do what you can to either collect material for yourself, or for the good of the Vigil prior to the day of the Vigil. We will do what we can to have stores on hand to help make the Vigil as successful as possible, but there are times when the demands are not easily met by an individual or small group.

For those who are staying for the entire Vigil, or as much of it as their endurance will permit, we will rotate through individuals in order, with each individual being given the next available Sacrifice in turn. There will likely be many Sacrifices which cannot be met by the individual assigned, and other participants may choose to donate a required item or trade an item in order to allow the individual in question to make their Sacrifice as scheduled. If an individual must leave the Vigil, please be sure to inform the Vigil manager and get confirmation that they have removed you from the active rotation. If you return at a later time, you will be added to the rotation as though you were a new participant.
