Q1. For those who have never had the opportunity to interact with you before can you share a little about yourself, what you enjoy about ATITD as well as how long you have been playing?
A1. I am McArine. I have played since T3, so coming up on ten years. I am a master gem cutter and master glass blower. I participate in regional projects, guild projects and University research. I have tried and understand everything in the game, and I enjoy helping ppl understand the mechanics of things.

Q2. How you like T7 so far, it's better or worst than previous Tales. Which Tale was your favorite?
A2. I have enjoyed all five tales I have been part of. Each for different reasons.

Q3. If the general consensus of the rest of the DPs were that that person should not be banned, but you felt strongly that they should, what would you do?
A3. I believe strongly in democracy, and I would therefore follow the majority vote.

Q4. Many activities in Egypt are PvP oriented/ highly competitive. Recently some issues have been discussed in ET regarding Test of Retired Pirates. Please explain how you approach these sorts of tests and if as a player you use any method to improve your outcome like having alts/mules voting in other rounds to enhance your pass chance. Do you push/campaign your guilds to vote for you and or forming test/rounds alliances or salt rounds with players that have already passed.
A4. I do not use alts/mules to gain an advantage in PvP tests. I do not campaign in my guilds, if others want to promote me, I accept that. I can understand why joining up with your friends is a natural thing to do in the PvP tests, but I will also say that you have to be lucky in many of the tests, to be able to do so, since the groups are formed randomly.

Q5. How are you providing leadership in the game and amongst the player base?
A5. I do not see this game as needing much leadership, in the sense of one player telling others what to do. I think it strange, that the tests in leadership rarely rely on leadership, but more on an individual being able to gain popularity or power. Some of the tests in worship require leadership. The leader there makes sure to know the test, and tells the other players where to go or what to do. I have often been the leader in those tests, and also lead other groups that needed help.
In my guilds I am not as active an Elder as I once was, this is mainly due to the fact that my daily game time has gone from 6-8 hours a day, to 2-4 hours a day. But I still participate in the discussions about the direction of the guilds focus.

Q6. What specifically have you done to further the growth of the community?
A6. I hate commercials, I hate ppl suggesting me to "like a page", so I do not do this myself. I will show ppl the game and talk about it, if I'm asked. I do not hide that I play it, or how long I have played it.

Q7. How do you feel about sometimes heavy use of macros in this game by many players? and If there was a choice would you support complete ban of macros in the Tale?
A7. I would, but it would require some major redesign of some buildings. Mass production buildings would have to be accessible, at relative low cost, to avoid any repetitive actions avoided by using macros. With the way things are today, I think a lot of players would leave, if it was not possible to macro. And you need to remember, the reason macros are allowed, is to avoid repetitive stress on your body. This is real, you can seriously injure your hand if you had to make lots of items manually.

Q8. Spouselog allows access to ban powers. Do you know who have access to your spouse account?
A8. I do. None other than her and I, and I trust her to keep it that way.

Q9. Please describe what you consider to be "griefing" in the Tale.
A9. As in any other game it is the act of actively trying to annoy other players. In ATitD it can be things like crowding an area, blowing things up, picking other players papyrus, etc.

Q10. Easy question for start... Ninja or Pirate?
A10. Pirate aarrrrg.

Q11. Who would you vote for if you weren't running this time?
A11. Yendor, he is an old friend from T3, and Silden, both has been doing great work in zFree this tale.

Q12. Closing statement.
A12. Vote for me, because I do ;-)
Hehe, I love this game, for about 10 years it has been the game I have returned to, when I was getting tired of other games. So I want all the best for the people playing it, and I want to help them in any way that I can. I would like one of those ways be to serve as Demi Pharaoh.
