=Past Events=

Our garden won 7th place in the [[Events/Better_Camps_and_Gardens]] Contest!
 +
I decided I would travel around and visit the other gardens (but AFTER the judging lol)

==Passed==
 +

 +
===Cicada!===
 +

 +
My very favourite test. Still playing, at speed 10 at the moment. Thanks to Teppy for his double-edged way of answering my request to be able to continue with it after passing. It would be nice if I actually RAN any faster though.
 +

 +
===Obelisk===
 +

 +
Warmest thanks to my Master and now game husband, the brilliant Ikuu :) who gave me the confidence to try.
 +

 +
===Towers===
 +

 +
Whoopee! I have now 114.07%. So I can build a Rich Soil or Solid Land Monumental Tower.
 +

 +
===Prophecy===
 +

 +
One of those silly non-tests that I just happened to pass while not actually playing much...
 +

 +
===Vigil===
 +

 +
Thanks to Korrin's Worship World guild and the Yayas!
 +

 +
===Khefre's===
 +

 +
I won round 1, 2 and 3. (will post a pic of winning beetle here)

==Actively Pursuing Tests==
 +

 +

 +
===Test of Darkest Night===
 +

 +
Many thanks to Teppy for bringing back my second favourite test!
 +

 +
===Safari===
 +

 +
I don't believe that frogs are possible for a person with any hearing problems or dyslexia to do. This feels discriminatory to me. Working on other stuff - got Ibis YAY got Gazelles (which it is perfectly possible to do alone, I found and caught all my gazelles this tale by myself.) Working on Desert Rats, I dunno if I will ever get any fennec.
 +

 +
====Notes on Fennec====
 +

 +
(with thanks to an old mentor)
 +

 +
The skinny on hunting fennecs? (Math Free!)
 +

 +
When you check a fennec trap, it has three states: Perfect Clean, Signs, Caught Fennec, right?
 +
Each of those tells you something about the distance of the trap to the pack
 +
. If it is clean, the pack is more than 1,000 coords away
 +

 +
. If it has signs, the pack is more than 250, but less than 1,000 coords away
 +

 +
. If it caught, the pack is less than 250 coords away
 +

 +
There are an infinite number in a pack
 +

 +
Now, imagine that a "Clean" trap is a pancake. Center that pancake on the trap. Where ever that pancake is, the pack cannot be. That's why some players announce the coords when they find a fennec...if there are other traps in the area...almost garented to find other fennecs there.
 +

 +
Now think of a trap with Signs as a doughnut. The tasty cake part has a fennec in it somewhere. But the hole (i.e. nothing) is fennec free.
 +
So you put your doughnuts down on the map. As you find each trap with Signs, you put another doughnut.
 +

 +
But since it is off set some, the band that the fennec can be gets smaller and smaller.
 +
Get enough doughnuts you can narrow down a slice that is small enough that if a trap is there, it has to have a fennec.
 +

 +
===Marriage===
 +

 +
Of course. It's PEOPLE that matter.
 +

 +
===Retired Pirates===
 +

 +
Got Principle.
 +

 +
==Pilgrimage==
 +

 +
The biggest hurdle here seems to be to find people to do it with, as the number of humans playing this game shrinks further. My timezone doesn't help either.

New

I'm back! Year 5, Peret II-3 or 28 July 2010.

So much has gone. Compounds, stuff. People.

New Stuff

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Past Events

Our garden won 7th place in the Events/Better_Camps_and_Gardens Contest! I decided I would travel around and visit the other gardens (but AFTER the judging lol)

Tests

Passed

Cicada!

My very favourite test. Still playing, at speed 10 at the moment. Thanks to Teppy for his double-edged way of answering my request to be able to continue with it after passing. It would be nice if I actually RAN any faster though.

Obelisk

Warmest thanks to my Master and now game husband, the brilliant Ikuu :) who gave me the confidence to try.

Towers

Whoopee! I have now 114.07%. So I can build a Rich Soil or Solid Land Monumental Tower.

Prophecy

One of those silly non-tests that I just happened to pass while not actually playing much...

Vigil

Thanks to Korrin's Worship World guild and the Yayas!

Khefre's

I won round 1, 2 and 3. (will post a pic of winning beetle here)

Map_of_Scarab_Gardens

Actively Pursuing Tests

Test of Darkest Night

Many thanks to Teppy for bringing back my second favourite test!

Safari

I don't believe that frogs are possible for a person with any hearing problems or dyslexia to do. This feels discriminatory to me. Working on other stuff - got Ibis YAY got Gazelles (which it is perfectly possible to do alone, I found and caught all my gazelles this tale by myself.) Working on Desert Rats, I dunno if I will ever get any fennec.

Notes on Fennec

(with thanks to an old mentor)

The skinny on hunting fennecs? (Math Free!)

When you check a fennec trap, it has three states: Perfect Clean, Signs, Caught Fennec, right? Each of those tells you something about the distance of the trap to the pack . If it is clean, the pack is more than 1,000 coords away

. If it has signs, the pack is more than 250, but less than 1,000 coords away

. If it caught, the pack is less than 250 coords away

There are an infinite number in a pack

Now, imagine that a "Clean" trap is a pancake. Center that pancake on the trap. Where ever that pancake is, the pack cannot be. That's why some players announce the coords when they find a fennec...if there are other traps in the area...almost garented to find other fennecs there.

Now think of a trap with Signs as a doughnut. The tasty cake part has a fennec in it somewhere. But the hole (i.e. nothing) is fennec free. So you put your doughnuts down on the map. As you find each trap with Signs, you put another doughnut.

But since it is off set some, the band that the fennec can be gets smaller and smaller. Get enough doughnuts you can narrow down a slice that is small enough that if a trap is there, it has to have a fennec.

Marriage

Of course. It's PEOPLE that matter.

Retired Pirates

Got Principle.

Pilgrimage

The biggest hurdle here seems to be to find people to do it with, as the number of humans playing this game shrinks further. My timezone doesn't help either. Guilds/Dusti's_Pilgrimage

Herbs

We can grow Trim the root fibers and Squeeze out the sap in SW, just north of the chariot between 1536 and 1792 East to West and between 3584 and 3840 North to South.

This seems to be the only region where herbs can be grown, for now anyway.
