I have my own screen shot library of herbs. I will sometimes replace shots on the various Foraging pages. I do so to improve the quality of the information. I am sorry if this offended you in any way. Note that I have some of my own pics that need to be re-shot. Things that I usually find that need to be improved:

* Remove time-of-day lighting. The reason is because time of day modifies coloring with shaders which makes recognizing herbs on various video cards more difficult. Note that even with the option off, sometimes a herb finds itself in a shade and is therefor already in a bad position for a screen shot.

* Use proper scaling. Your avatar or any interface element isn't a good scale representation. There's various heights for avatars and usually putting yourself in a picture results in a big pic with a tiny herb in the middle. The emphasize must be on the herb as much as possible.
 +
* Zooming. Categorizing herbs in specific leaf types isn't going to help if no one can see what the leaf looks like. Try zooming in as much as possible, specially the characteristics of the plant.

Last tale I played Was A Tale In The Desert 2 as Anthers.

Foraging

I have my own screen shot library of herbs. I will sometimes replace shots on the various Foraging pages. I do so to improve the quality of the information. I am sorry if this offended you in any way. Note that I have some of my own pics that need to be re-shot. Things that I usually find that need to be improved:

  • Remove time-of-day lighting. The reason is because time of day modifies coloring with shaders which makes recognizing herbs on various video cards more difficult. Note that even with the option off, sometimes a herb finds itself in a shade and is therefor already in a bad position for a screen shot.
  • Use proper scaling. Your avatar or any interface element isn't a good scale representation. There's various heights for avatars and usually putting yourself in a picture results in a big pic with a tiny herb in the middle. The emphasize must be on the herb as much as possible.
  • Zooming. Categorizing herbs in specific leaf types isn't going to help if no one can see what the leaf looks like. Try zooming in as much as possible, specially the characteristics of the plant.
