Petition for Primary Compound [A WORK IN PROGRESS]

a) Every paid player shall be entitled to designate one compound as his or her Primary Compound, as defined by this petition. A player who has made such a designation may be referred to below as a "designating player."

1) No player shall be entitled to designate more than one compound as a Primary Compound.

2) No guild shall be entitled to designate any compound or other building as a Primary Compound.

3) Any player who looks at the Ownership of another player's Primary Compound will be given the information that the compound is a Primary Compound along with other ownership information.

4) A player may use his or her Primary Compound for any purpose for which a normal compound could be used, including guild activities or the use of other players.

b) A player may only designate as a Primary Compound a compound in which he or she has placed a cornerstone.

1) The owner of the cornerstone and the owner of the compound must be the same player, and only that same player may designate the compound as his or her Primary Compound.

2) If the designating player removes the cornerstone from his or her Primary Compound, the Primary Compound designation will automatically be removed.

c) The spouse of a designating player may change the player's Primary Compound designation to the same extent as the designating player could change his or her own Primary Compound designation.

1) Neither the designating player nor the spouse may attach a player's Primary Compound designation to a compound or other building owned by anyone except the designating player, including a building owned by the spouse. The spouse may transfer the designating player's Primary Compound designation to another building owned by the designating player, but not to a building owned by the spouse.

2) The spouse may give permission for building within the Primary Compound's curtilage to the same extent as the designating player.

d) Each Primary Compound shall have a Curtilage. The Curtilage is defined as 100 coordinates north, south, east, and west of the first section of the compound to be built. Regardless of the size and shape of the compound, the Curtilage shall be measured from the first section of the compound to be built.

e) No player may build any building within the curtilage of another player's Primary Compound, except as defined herein. If a player attempts to build a building that is not permitted herein within the curtilage of another player's Primary Compound, he or she will be unable to do so and will receive a message stating in effect that he or she may not build this building so close to another player's primary compound.

f) Any player may build the following within the curtilage of another player's Primary Compound:

1) Any seed for growing vegetables, flax, barley, or any other plant which will be harvested and removed. However, sea lilies or other plants that cannot be harvested and removed may not be planted under this provision.

2) A flimsy brick rack.

3) A wood plane.

4) A construction site of any size.

g) If a player builds a construction site within the curtilage of another player's Primary Compound under Section F(4) of this Petition, the following shall apply.

1) The designating player who owns the Primary Compound and associated curtilage within which the construction site was built shall see a new menu option if he or she clicks on the other player's construction site. That menu option will read "Give Permission for this Building". This same menu will also clearly state, both before and after permission for building is given, the type of building to be built on the construction site and the player who owns the construction site.

2) If the designating player gives permission for a building, the owner of the construction site may proceed to build. However, if the designating player does not give permission during the time that the construction site stands, the owner of the construction site will be unable to build and the construction site will be disassembled.

h) A player may build any building within the Curtilage of his or her Primary Compound. Such building will not change the scope of the Curtilage. A designating player may give away a building within the Curtilage of his or her Primary Compound to any player or guild.

i) A player may remove the Primary Compound designation at any time and for any reason. If a paid player has no designated Primary Compound, he or she may designate a new one under the terms of this Petition. No limit shall be placed on the number of times a player changes his or her Primary Compound.

j) If a designating player's status changes to unpaid, expired, or banned, the player's Primary Compound designation will remain unchanged so long as the cornerstone remains in the Primary Compound. However, a Primary Compound designation will not prevent a building becoming salvageable under any other applicable laws of Egypt.
