Please check in there for ore before you use the mine.  We are trying to keep the repair costs down to a minimum and Elders with Ore Extraction 5+ will occassionally use their skill to get the maximum yield and take it to the warehouse.  Its a win win. You dont have to run all the way out to the mine and the repairs stay low.
