IMPORTANT: ANTS CAN POOF IN YOUR INVENTORY! THIS ONLY TAKES 5 MINUTES
From accounts it would seem that having fresh leaves in your inventory would stop this, as Malard was able to transport an ant all the way across regions

Not much is known about ants yet, but ants are *not*, repeat, *not* plants. Therefore Botanical Ident has *no* effect on them!

Obtaining

From the E! logs it would seem ants are found randomly in clumps of silt. This is a very tired joke. Only one queen has been found, the finder was examining pampas grass, herbing, and gathering wood. No message was displayed, the queen just appeared in his inventory.

It would seem that there ants are found on foliage, but not necessarily the same foliage as is currently giving leaves.

Two ants were found at the same time, different locations, different plant species, at approx midnight Egypt time.

Things tried:

Leaves:

  • "Trim the lower leaves" on a vineyard with a knife in inventory (Pascalito - over 100)

Ants:

  • Dropping honey, dates on grass (Doku)
  • Dropping honey, dates on dirt (Doku)
  • Dropping honey, dates on sand (Doku)
  • Dropping honey, dates on kitchen (Doku)

Raising Ants

Myrmecology will allow us to raise them.
