Formerly known as Lower Egypt.

Some strongly suspect Adn is a typo. Many have been heard to ask what it stands for, on the assumption that anything so unlike any words in popular languages of the present must be an acronym. One player even suggested it stood for "Another d*** name," saying the region has had a different name every telling. A more sensible suggestion is that it is simply an ancient Egyptian name applied to the region, in which case pronunciation suggestions include "Ah-den" and, for those accustomed to more guttural languages, "Ah-d'n." -Actually it's another form of the name 'Eden'.
