Immediate Projects

The Guild is working towards the following objectives at the moment. If you can help, then YAY! Please join in!

Objectives for Adn & for Egypt: We are working on Basic Charcoal Production Tech at the UArt. We need to burn our firepits. For this we need:

  • Gather wood
  • Gather Silt
  • Make and Kiln Firebricks

Also our CS is in ruins, and for this research we need linen (=lots of flax!)

  • Grow flax
  • Make linen

Objectives for the Guild: We still need bricks and boards stowed in the guildhall. Thanks!

  • Make bricks
  • Make boards

Guild Policy & Approach to Life in Egypt

CCHC is a collective of players devoted to pursuing prosperity, fun, camaraderie and the advancement of Egyptian civilisation. As individuals, we may choose to tackle the Tests in the Seven Disciplines; as a group, we support each other's efforts, with resources, advice, help and moral support.

Guild members are expected to:

   * Stay in communication
   * Answer calls to group efforts when available
   * Hambone when hamboned (or, as we now say in T4, "dance, baby, dance!")
   * Help with chores around the camp
   * Contribute goods to the Guild (and take from Guild stocks) as seems fair
   * Say "nice* and "YAY* a lot
   * Help mentor the *nice* newbies who land here
   * Never leave the tasting table while the bartender is still serving

CCHC has a communal economy for those who wish to participate in it; and the extent to which a member shares resources is up to that individual's discretion.

When a newcomer has demonstrated, over a period of time, both trustworthiness and willingness to contribute, he or she should be made a Member, with full access to the Guild's resources. Note to new members: you also have a right to use the goods in the Guild's chests. You contribute to the chores and group efforts, so you deserve it, but for security reasons having to do with past history, you may have to ask for help getting material from restricted chests. The exception to this is that, while some tuition help may be offered, Initiates new to the game are encouraged to "do for themselves" in some things, so as to learn the ropes.

Regarding community projects, especially those related to research, using the Guild's tools and resources, is encouraged, as long as the guild chests aren't depleted and the help is made known. It's always a good idea to ask when taking rare or hard-to-get resources from Guild chests.

Regular Tasks around Camp ("Chores")

Please try to offer a little help with some of the following as and when time allows:

  • Growing Onions for the sheep
  • Gathering wood
  • Gathering slate
  • Making straw and dropping it in the camel pen

Rules of Thumb

  • Please don't allow sheep pens to drop below a MINIMUM 3 males and 3 females; though you may slaughter when the sheep are ABOVE that number.
  • Please aim for at least 1000 onions in each pen
