The Mad Botanists

The Mad Botanists are a group of people dedicated to discovering things Man Was Not Meant to Know. Specifically, breeding new, better varieties of flax and other crops. Lab coats are optional, a liking for Mad Science is not.

Guild Hall and Applications

Applications are open to anyone interested at our Guild Hall; -500; 6721, in downtown Cat's Claw Ridge. The only restriction is that you must be interested in actively contributing to the advancement of the guild's goals to breed a better flax for all of egypt. That means donating resources, time or expertise to help this come about.

Availability of specimens

We welcome interested parties who want to obtain samples of our crossbred specimens. Once crossbreeding is available and we commence producing new strains, samples of all intermediate strains will be stored permanently at the guild. A complete breeding history will be available here on the wiki, and anyone interested can obtain samples of any specimens that interest them by placing a request with enough notice to allow a guild-member to duplicate the samples. A small donation is encouraged but not required.

Donations

If you're not interested in joining but still want to help us find new and improved strains, donations are most welcome. We can especially use glass products (limestone, lime, leeks, dried flax, papyrus, ash, potash, as well as finished products), and crossbreeding materials (in the past, this was Nefertari's Crown Mushrooms). We can likewise always find a use for wood, charcoal, and bricks.
