This is a very yard sensitive vine.  The tends are decent until shimmer shows up.  If the yard you put it on has a lot of shimmers, the vine won't reach it's potential.  If you're going to use this vine for tannin spirits, I would suggest planting 10 yards and just using the best 5, or experiment a little to find out which of your yards work for the vine.  I actually used the suggested tends below for the barreled results on this page.  Even with the -12 skin on shimmer, 5 of the 10 yards came out very well.  I'm currently testing 10 new yards using no more than 2 of those -12 skins per yards.

Phenotype (ACCKKKS)

Vine Starting Grape No. Hue
Tedra's Tannin 12 Red

This is a very yard sensitive vine. The tends are decent until shimmer shows up. If the yard you put it on has a lot of shimmers, the vine won't reach it's potential. If you're going to use this vine for tannin spirits, I would suggest planting 10 yards and just using the best 5, or experiment a little to find out which of your yards work for the vine. I actually used the suggested tends below for the barreled results on this page. Even with the -12 skin on shimmer, 5 of the 10 yards came out very well. I also tested 10 new yards using no more than 2 of those -12 skins per yard, results at the bottom of the page. Results suggest that the original suggested tends still work better. I've merely shown you what's possible here with the right yards.

Alternately use two SV on the first two shimmers to stock up some color, then switch to TV or MG for anymore shimmers, but if you get too many more, you won't reach a decent skin.
