I'm really badly colorblind. I can't see much more than different shades of gray. I put up with T4 mining and the poorly designed, overly complex, color-based mini-game but I won't put up with another system like this.

Colorblind mode in T4 was nearly useless. It worked for iron and nothing more. That's not surprising given the small size of ATiTD's development staff. They probably never even looked at colorblind mining past iron.

Now we have another mining system for T5 which requires color perception. And each metal type is a slightly different-mini game. And the colorblind mode there won't work any better than it works here because it will never be tested or balanced across all the different mini-games used by the different metal types. In fact, shortly after Teppy started discussing the colorblind mode he said he had to leave to go work on Bastet. Heh, the more things change the more they stay the same.

If mining wasn't a big part of my game play, I'd ignore what I'm sure will be a mess. But mining is a huge part of my game. I use tons of ore to make tons or metal because I like to build tons of things. And I love to make alloys. And I like to sell and give away items -- many of which require metals.

If there weren't 101 other things which were already bothering me about the game, maybe I'd stick it out. But this 102nd thing is the straw which broke the camel's back.

I'm sorry I won't be around to run digs, stirs, etc but with the tiny population left on 4A there weren't many people attending those events anymore anyway.
