I believe that societies are stronger with diversity.  Permanently banning a player would lower our diversity and I would hope that there was never a situation where that would seem to be the only option.  Temporary bans could be useful in a situation where a cooling off period is necessary and imminent actions would cause harm. Besides the hope to maintain or increase Egypt's current diversity, I believe that it's much more beneficial (exponentially beneficial in fact) to let people live through whatever consequences their actions bring about, and give them a chance to grow and perhaps change their outlook on their own contributions to our little society.

Some thoughts on the role of DPs:

  • I believe that societies are stronger with diversity.
