Guilds/New Player Association

About Us

We are a Guild dedicated to helping those new to ATitD, and those returning after a long absence.
Our main Guild Hall (where you can join us), and camp is located in Old Egypt, just a short run north of the chariot stop at co-ordinates 1033, 7233.

Watch this space for locations of Guild Branches in other regions!

We provide Advice, Mentoring, Facilities, Assistance with Principles and Tests, Materials for skills and
Most importantly, a Friendly environment to ask questions and learn the game!

Philosophy

To make starting out in this game as Fun, Easy and Painless as we can.
To provide a Friendly, Helpful and Family Safe environment to our members.

Why?

This game, as much as we all love it, is not really new player friendly. Wander around the regions and you will see many
small compounds that when investigated properly were owned by players that started the game, played for a few hours - then quit!

From my own experiences here (and some other newer players), I can only assume the difficulty of getting started is the main reason.

Also, while many Guilds will happily assist New Players, they were designed for other purposes (research, Tests etc), and as such
they tend to be more focused on thier own Primary Goals. This can be frustrating for a New Player who needs help now.

So, that's why I have started the Guild that I wish had been here for me when I began my journeys through Egypt.

Guild Administration

Guild Rules

  1. Be courteous and respectful at all times.
  2. If you are unsure, unclear or uncertain about something ASK! (the only stupid question is the one you never ask!)
  3. Be Honest
  4. Remember - This is a GAME! Relax, Have Fun!
  5. New Player Association is a semi-democratically run Dictatorship. Elders have final say in ALL matters
  6. We have a one-strike policy. ANY Malicious/Mean/Nasty/Rude/Offensive etc behaviour and you are out!
We don't want people like that in our game, let alone in our Guild!

Guild Requirements

  1. ALL members are asked to contribute to guild stores. We always need:
    1. Wood
    2. Grass
    3. Clay, Silt
    4. Vegetables - Onions, Carrots etc.
    5. Flax
    6. Other items as required (ask an Elder or Patriarch)
  2. If you use it - replace it.
We don't mind you taking that 60 linen (example) from
Guild stores to pay for that skill.
All we ask is that you replace it.

Vegetables and Flax require seeds. Seeds are available to use for Guild Members. Just ask an Elder or Patriarch if you don't yet have access to the Seed Warehouse.

Regular Tasks:

  1. Shear Sheep (Every 3-4 hours when possible)
  2. Harvest Grass from Greenhouse/s (every hour when possible)
  3. Load sand, straw and mud into Brick Maker, and start making bricks (whenever you pass by, if needed)
  4. Load wood into Sawmill - VERY important! if it runs out of wood it stops, and needs 2x Steel Blade to re-start
    (every time you pass by)

Guild Guidelines

  1. Before building a compound or adding Facilities, We would ask that you please consult an Elder or Patriarch. Just so we can avoid any potential clashes with planned works.
  2. Each member may have one (1) Personal Storage chest in the Guild Camp.
You will need to provide the materials yourself (not take them from Guild Stores)
Limited to 5k storage per member for rare items.
Speak to an Elder to get one set up.
  3. If you notice Guild Stores running low on something - get more. If you you can't (lack of skills etc)
then let an Elder or Patriarch know that we need more.
  4. Guild membership has levels. These are (from lowest to highest):
    • Initiate (You start here, access to only the most basic facilities)
    • Associate
    • Member
(at this level you have access to most Guild Facilities
      Other guilds will be different)
    • Kinsman
    • Fellow
    • Patriarch (2nd in command/lower level of Guild Admin/Highly Trusted)
    • Elder (Guild Owners/Top Admin/Those in charge)
  5. To advance in Guild Membership levels, simply follow the rules,
Help out, Contribute to Guild Stores, etc.
Basically, the more you show that you can be trusted,
    the higher you will rise...

Please note, not all facilities are available for use by all members immediately.
Guilds have membership levels, and some facilities are set to use by certain member levels only.
This has been done to protect the more delicate or hard to replace items from accidents.
Thankyou

How Can I Help?

New Player Association is looking for some experienced players to assist with Advice, Answering Questions,
General Maintenance, Planning higher-level facilities, Providing higher-level Resources/Materials etc.

Alternatively, for those not willing/able to commit to such a Noble Project, We would always be appreciative
of an attempt at tuning our machines, or donations of Resources/Materials - Even 100 wood/boards/bricks is helpful!

Another HUGE way you can help, would be to direct any new players towards us - not all new players know about Egypt Today..

Without some help and assistance from the established community, this Project simply will not work.
So PLEASE, anything at all will help us attempt to stop the trend of new players quitting before they
even get to know how great our Egypt really is!

Thankyou
