Event Schedule

Saturday, January 16, Festival of Thoth. 3PM EST (8PM GMT), Altars all over Egypt.

  • What is the festival of Thoth? Thoth is one of the Egyptian gods and we do a festival in his honor in order to pass the tests of Test_of_Festivals.
  • If you are level 14+, sign up for this test at your local UWorship. Then get two candles and two papyrus paper and ask a friend (or stranger) to follow you to any nearby altar.
    • At the alter, first you place papyrus paper on the altar's right pillar. Then the friend places papyrus paper on the left pillar.
    • Next, place a candle on the right focus and your friend places a candle on the left focus.
    • Finally, meditate on the alter and then have your friend meditate on the alter.
  • A window will popup telling you what type of wine you need to make Ambrosia. For Thoth, Ambrosia is a mixture of wine and ink (yuck! what an odd god!). Buy the wine from your local wine merchant. Ask on E! or Bazaar or guild chat to find a merchant if you don't already have one.
  • On the festival day, you go to a nearby altar and wait for and tune into E! or WWM to listen for the start of the festival. When it begins, drop 21 beetles all around the altar. (They should probably be junky beetles as they might despawn before you can pick them all back up). Once the beetles are dropped, click on the altar and sacrifice your ambrosia.

Saturday, January 16, Speed Acro line. 4PM EST (9PM GMT), Shabbat Ab acro field (near UArt)

  • Speed acro, also called 'Push Acro' places a time limit on how long each student stays at each station. The time can vary from 3 to 5 minutes based on how many people attend the acro line.
  • While in the line, listen to Shabbat Ab regional chat. Every time the moderator calls out MOVE, all students should move to the next station. Do not wait for it to clear. Just rush into the next pair of acroers to force them to move on.
  • Everyone is welcome to the line, newbies and masters alike.

Saturday, January 23, Festival of Bastet, 3PM EST (8PM GMT), Altars all over Egypt.

  • Bastet is another good but she wants different items than Thoth. More details to follow soon.
