The Good Judge

An idea by Seba

§ Appointment:
Players wishing to be Judges and are of Paid status, are hereby allowed to collect from a University of Leadership, a petition to allow them to become a Judge.

Players holding these petitions are then required to collect 50 signatures from other paid Players, once turned in to a University of Leadership with the required amount of signatures, and a total of twenty-six (26) players have been established, a world wide vote takes place.

§ Voting:
All Paid status players are able to cast votes on each Judge candidate. Players are to choose thirteen (13) of the twenty-six (26) candidates to become Judges. They do this by either saying YES to them being of good sound judgment, or NO to the same question.

§ Duty:
A Judge shall have a Duty to provide Egypt with solutions to make peace where others have done a wrong. While there are currently no laws governing what laws a Judge may follow, it is considered that a Judge must follow where possible all Code of Conducts created by players.

Where there is obvious differences in what a Code of Conduct states, the Judge has final rule over which Code of Conduct to choose. The reason(s) for this choice do not need to be known by public members, but it should be considered best to share this information publicly.

§ Powers:
The permissions to move any structure not dependent on its location (ie Mines), or belonging to a Test (ie Obelisks), or relating to a compound of any size may be moved.

Judges get further permissions to tear structures down in which are not for the purposes of completing a Test (ie Obelisks), and where explained by Developers to need a veto from this law when not a test structure.

Judges get further powers in the form of using a new realm. "Prison" shall be used to force players that are either needing to collect resources, or require to serve a time (non-permanent) away from Egypt {Reffer to § Prison for more details}

§ Retirement and Removal:
Any Judge may retire at any point of their reign of Power. To do this, a Judge Visits a University of Leadership and applies to leave the Council. Having provided a confirmation of inputting test into a dialog box (similar to repairing a Chariot Stop (Level 1)) they are removed from Council and are not allowed to join the Council at a later stage.

Removal of a Judge requires a Petition to be collected from the University of Leadership, where the person must collect 50 votes to have the Judge stripped of all their powers once handed into a University of Leadership.

A Judge that has been stripped of their title once may start a petition to reclaim their title again. However the second time the same Judge has been stripped of their powers, they are no longer allowed to start more petitions and are forced into retirement.

§ Prison:
Prison is a new realm created for Judges. Judges have the ability to visit the island free of any travel costs. Judges have the power to Exile both Trial and Paid players to this realm if found guilty of a crime and it is discovered that a prison sentence is needed.

The realm itself will have a self-sufficient work space. Resources such as Clay, Grass, Mud, Sand, Straw, Limestone and everything you would expect to find on a new egyptian land is available. No Schools or Universities are allowed in this Realm. Structures are permitted to be built and do not suffer from environmental damages, but must be built by a Judge. All buildings built in this realm is instantly made public, and can be torn down by other judges only.

The game itself will not automate the release of an Exiled player. The sentencing Judge is expected to retrieve the Exiled players and confirm that the Exiled Player has met the conditions of Imprisonment.

The maximum time spent in the Prison realm shall never exceed longer than three real life weeks.
