Welcome to Funtasy's little bit of the wiki. It aims to put the FUN back into Egypt through hosting Player Run Events and allowing the opportunity to role-play! Here we hope to post a forthcoming list of events, interviews, discussions and competitions.

What is Funtasy?

Funtasy is one of ATITD's 'microphones' or chat channels which broadcast to the whole of Egypt. As with all the microphones it is a moderated channel and abuse is not welcome. To join type /join Funtasy

Our aims are to make the dullness of grinding evaporate, to make you smile and more importantly to involve everyone who plays. Getting tired of your friends leaving then tune in and get involved to help banish those sad feelings. angry at the way the telling is going and that no-one is getting involved and helping out? Then do not moan, come and join us for some merriment.

Remember... We cannot have fun without you. !

Our founder was Elfus (who sadly has since left the game) who wanted a channel where people could have their own events (as distinct from dev events and story) that brought some FUN into Egypt. Funtasy has tried in the past to host its own storyline and introduce characters who are separate from the Official eGenesis story line. We also brought you The Male Oprah Show with cory0210.

Occasionally we like to have RANDOM discussions and chats on various subjects. These are just to get people TALKING to one another. Recent RANDOM chats include: 'What is your favourite guitar solo' and 'favourite Beetles track'.

Interview with ladygrim

ladygrim: Hello my Name is LadyGrim and i'm running for DP

Stevehotep: Hello Ladygrim - welcome to Funtasy

ladygrim: Thank you

Stevehotep: Please, tell us all why you think you'd be a good DP, give us a little background about yourself

ladygrim: Well this is my 3rd tale, I have passed many tests and help with many projests. So knowlwdge of the game is good and the office of DP is very much my skill set

Stevehotep: Have you been involved in any cases of dispute, perhaps in a mediatory fashion? Helped people sort out ther differences etc?

ladygrim: well in game i have helped many couples handle break-ups, property transfers between the couple, also at begining of tale we had a little problem with Nigerian businessmen mining rights etc. I think everyone worked that out and we came on a workable resultion

Stevehotep: If you were asked to get involved in a dispute where you knew one of the people involved but perhaps not the other - would you be able to handle the situation with clarity, without taking sides? It could be that a friend of yours is involved, or maybe someone you don't get along with so well

ladygrim: yes very much so, you have to look pass the friendships, pass the passion, and keep the drama to a trickle. i would hear both sides as equals giving both the full ability to voice their issues

Stevehotep: I'd like to ask anyone listening - if they have any questions about the role for you :)

Orrin: What would you do if a psychotic squirrel invited you to tea?

ladygrim: Orrin i would join them, drinking the tea and bring my hookah for a smoke as we have a very good time

Stevehotep: Any serious questions from anyone? This is your chance to quiz ladygrim on her candidacy ;-)

Orrin: What is your mother tongue?

ladygrim: English, this might hinder me in some disputes but i will still try my best to understand or find an honest person to interpit for me

Jaylenaeybarre: pity that for newbies (am I still a newbie) that we must vote when we don't know all the candidates - so no question just an observation :)

Stevehotep: This is why we're having an interview session Jay, so that you can try to get to know them a little

ladygrim: All i as is that plays do vote, its one of the greatest rights we all share, i am honored just speaking with you all this day

Khaemwaset: Anon question for ladygrim. poster would like to know what she feels would make her a better Dp than the other candidates?

ladygrim: hmm thats a very good question, i don't think i'm better then any one person, i just think i approch all problems with understanding and compassion to come out with a blanced solution

Khaemwaset: Describe yourself in five words adn tehn describe your fellow Egyptians please :)

ladygrim: faithful, funloving, quite, peaceful and driven and my fellow egyptians Peaceful, friendly, honest, giving and remarkable

Khaemwaset: Okay are there any other questions?

Orrin: what is your major character flaw?

ladygrim: well Orrin some would say how i like to live in low population areas and others would say how i'm not a chatter box but its how i roll. Like my Grandpa said its always better to to listen and not bother the neighbors

Khaemwaset: Do you have a wiki page where we can see a manifesto (for wont of a better word)?

ladygrim: I wish i did, I'm old and not into that yet, but i might give it a try

Khaemwaset: Okay im going to wrap it up now. But before i let ladygrim go... could i ask her to sum up her ATITD experiences please?

ladygrim: Played 3 tales, help do friday night digs in Tale 2 and 3 with balthazzar, lived in VOK in tale 2 and same place as now in Tale 3 in CCR, I love the game and wishes who ever earns your vote success and happyness

Possible topics include (and we need volunteers for this- hint hint) are masterclasses on raeli mosaics and veneries.

Competitions

Early in the telling Elfus started a number of competitions (with prizes) based on a number of subjects. Past subjects included Ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology.

We intend to start this again with Stevehotep acting as quizmaster. There should be prizes and we will post what they are going to be here. Please note that it is likely that prizes will be donated by players. We hope that it will be the spirit of taking part rather than the prize that will encourage you.
