<B>NOTE:</b> You should only use 1 water seeds (ie Fez#283 is best as of 2/27/2011) which works perfectly on 5x5 grids. If you try 2 or 3 watering seeds on 5x5 grids, some of the plants will have turned into seeds before the macro can get to it. This is a game time issue, not the speed of the macro.  A 4x4 or small grid usually works on 2-3 watering seeds. But since you are macroing, might as well be efficient. I feel the 1 water, 5x5 grid, non stop pervails.

Veggie Tale Flax Update

As Jimbly does not play very often this tale, the updates for Veggie Tales are becoming scarce. Some of the scripts move too fast (low delay times) causing havok or just not working. I and others have made some updates. The main update is to the flax macro. The flax macro has problems getting stuck on "Refocusing Windows", for some people, including myself.

Update to flax macro addresses the issue of it freezing on "Refocusing Windows" and addresses issue of it randomly freezing in the middle of a planting (Pin Flax window mishap). It addresses it two ways:

  • First the flax.lua script has had the refocusing windows function totally revamped. Credit to Kasiya.
  • Second, I have uncommented some delays in the: "-- Plant", "-- Bring up menu" and "-- Pin sections" of flax.lua. Those areas is the plant, pin menu and move portions of the macro. By using the delays (set to 100 - 1/10 of second), the random freezes (during plant/pin up) has been eliminated. This update also includes the ability to use any flax seed, thanks to KasumiGhia for making the Flaxgeneric.png file. By default, the macro only recognizes Old Egypt and Nile Green flax seeds. Also the timers, in this update, also affect the flax seeds macro. However, I have no issues with the flax seed macro itself. If you had any problems, then hopefully the slower delays will help.

Performance Tip:

Myself and at least one other have a problem where the macro moves in extreme slow motion. So slow, that the macro will not keep up with the waterings and harvest. The solution is very simple, but most people dont think about or realize this possibility. This may not be true for all, but wanted to let you know of this possible issue:

You want to make sure you start the macro (Shift Key) with the eGenesis client in focus, NOT Veggie Tales in focus. In other words, when you click Veggie Tales to start the macro, it remains in focus (the blue bar at top is highlighted). What you want to do is to click on eGenesis client (so the ATITD blue bar IS highlighted, instead of Veggie Tales' blue bar highlighted). Once eGenesis is in focus (blue bar highlighted), then start the macro with Shift Key. By doing this, the macro does not operate 50% slower. It is unclear why this happens. I am using a top of the line, fast computer, but it behaves like a 20 year old computer when I do not put eGenesis in focus before starting the macro.

The speed adjustments in the below update has nothing to do with the above issue. This is just for normal operation. You should use this technique for all of the Veggie Tales macros.

NOTE: You should only use 1 water seeds (ie Fez#283 is best as of 2/27/2011) which works perfectly on 5x5 grids.

Instructions:

  • Download the zip file
  • Copy the flaxgeneric.png file into the main Veggie Tales folder (the same folder with all the other .png files).
  • Copy the flax.lua and flax_common.inc into the LUASCRIPTS folder in Veggie Tales. Note you may want to make a backup before overwriting these files (ie rename flax.lua to flax.lua.bak and flax_common.inc to flax_common.inc.bak)

Download .zip file from Wiki - Note wiki will produce a corrupt .zip file if downloaded with IE. Download with Firefox or Chrome.

Download .zip file from Mirror Site - No corrupt errors when downloaded with IE. Firefox/Chrome is fine too, of course.

Verify the last upload date (Current). Make sure the latest update, matches the Last Update date, at top.

Misc Links

Cegaiel's ATITD Page - Hobby personal web site on local PC that includes:

  • Brick calculator - Enter how many bricks you need, or how many straw you have and it will tell you what you need.
  • Oyster Bed Pearl Solver - TheMazeEcho's, but with my modifications - No need to click Edit at beginning, different images.
  • Big Map of Egypt (Same map as on Shroomdar, but stripped of all the markers)
  • Small Map of Egypt (512x512 version of above map, but also allows you to input up to 99 coordinates in a form box, and have them display on the map)
    • You can also send someone a link that will display one coordinate, upon them visiting the link.
  • Acro Particpants - Database of everyone I have acro'd with and type of teacher I am to them. Shows anyone I am master to, also.
  • Leaves/Thistle Voids Calendar - Shows week number and days when new leaves/voids will occur. Also shows what time day time thistles will occur (Your Local Time).
  • Convert Egypt to Local Time - Enter a future Egypt Time and it will display what time that will occur (Your Local Time)
  • Teppy Timer - Enter a time (hour, minutes, seconds) and choose Real, Teppy or Game time. It will convert it to real time and then countdown a timer (and sound a chime when done).
