Symbols

(This originally went to a user talk page, but I figure it's useful here)

I reverted the abbreviations to use the standard chemical symbols again. The standard chemical symbols for elements are language-independent and should be more universally recognized than any ad-hoc abbreviations. Before someone changes them back again, could you explain your reasons here? --Inkoaten 18:56, 27 March 2009 (EST)

Could someone fix the map its off centre and the Falcon Bay mines dont show. I have no idea how to fix it, ty. - Mortality.

A key is given anyway, and none of the English names for ores on the map share the same intial. It seems highly likely to me that more people will have to use the key due to lack of knowledge of the symbols, than from the use of English initials. However the symbols do have the benefit of showing how knowledgeable the author is. Not a big deal for me, not going to mess with it and respect for the work to put it up - i just think it's elitist. delilah
