You appear to be able to fish during the day in Tale 4. I caught catfish @ 8am in Shabbat Ab. User:Sariel

Locations from previous tale seem to carry over. I have twice confirmed a 6pm-9pm spot near 3356, 4492. Phagrus, Chromis, Tilapia, and one time a Catfish.

Elia: Not all locations have carried over. Have checked all my T3 spots with no success.

Zuvun: Fishing the West Nile in Meroe near the northern expedition spot seems to indicate fishing bands ordered the same and yielding the same species as under T3, except that the whole group of bands has shifted roughly 60 coordinates northward. Possible hypothesis: the banding scheme is unchanged from T3, except it is shifted northward 60 coordinates. Tracking the same band east to where it crosses the east Nile also yields a similar result, and going south along the east Nile shows the next band group down is also configured as in T3, but shifted 60 coordinates Northward. Getting more data points would be nice to confirm the hypothesis, as it could just as easily be not a simple shift, but a change in the distance between band groups, a small change in band angle, or something else. Having said that, Iggyboo's observation below tends to fit the hypothesis, allowing for the normal band oscillation. (However, the 3356, 4492 spot mentioned above seems anomalous I'm wondering if the coordinates are accurate, since according to the T3 fish calculator, those were dead coordinates in T3.)

Zuvun: I checked about 2/3's of the locations reported in the map on the fish page, and all were consistent with the theory above; none were inconsistent. So it appears pretty clear fish locations are exactly as in T3, shifted north roughly 60 coordinates. (Timing, however, appears to be a whole different kettle of fish.) (Ouch)

Iggyboo: I caught Perch, Carp, & Oxyrynchus at Pyramid Lake 4321, 6959 (Near UBody) at Y1 Akhet I-26 1:30 AM

It is my impression that fishing with another person increases yield. I.e. someone who couldn't catch fish there before will now get infrequent small catches. While someone who caught fish there before will get larger catches more frequently, along with less rings. Though I didn't get to test this for too long, others should look into it. Ichigo

Iggyboo: I have noticed that yield seems to increase (frequency and fish size) around 5am-5:45amish, or at least in the area that I'm fishing (near Ubody in Pyramid Lake)(Catfish ahd Tilapia). Saw a bit of a spike around 6:20am near the same place. (Perch and Abdju)

Neouni: each player has it's own 'best' fishing time, i myself have the feeling i can't go fishing anymore from 10pm-4am anymore ingame still searching for my proper time (/clockloc)
