Zapping RaTBoy

I felt like a little journey this evening. I took the chariots up to Heaven's Gate and having not been up there for so long, I almost forgot how lovely it was. There are fields of uninterrupted grass and sparkling ponds, it was just nature and myself. The foraging was out of this world and I tried not to disturb the peace as I flipped back and forth from the herb page to forage. I ran all through Heaven's Gate and traveled to CCR. I passed quite a number of compounds as I made my way to the chariot stop. The town was sleepy and not a voice was heard or a person seen at the dinner hour. On to Nomad's Paradise and a big shout out to Tulani and all the others living in Paradise who gave this wandering traveler such a warm welcome, a lovely peaceful town that is quite beautiful. As I walked into my compound in Saqqarah RaTBoy was looking for his last facet to pass Acro. Yay and a big shout out to him for allowing me to bestow said zappage upon him.

April 27, 2009 Ranting about Thistle Gardens, repositioning them, and OCD. So I finally built a thistle garden. I made the small construction site next to the greenhouses and sheep pens and found a great spot for it. So I filled in all the required components in the construction site and built it. Well..... (puts hankie over perspiring forehead) the lid of the thistle garden can be repositioned BUT the garden itself can not. I cancelled the reposition a few times to see if I can play around with it, but NO I can't. I can only reposition the lid. All four greenhouses are even, the drying racks next to the greenhouses are even, the sheep pens are properly positioned, and there is this oddball bright green thistle garden at an angle (with the lid evenly attached to it) Now everyday I have to look at it UNEVENLY positioned. Because of the mats for the garden, I'm not in a position to do what I usually do. Tear it down and rebuild it where it won't be in my line of sight at an angle. So every day I will be looking at this bright green off angle thing and pulling my hair (nicely done and always cut perfectly in case Sami stops by) out of my head. This is a very bad thing. Yes a very bad thing.

April 26, 2009 Jeff is starting 14th at Talladega in Alabama. Let's Go Jeff. A big SHOUT OUT to Rabble for a great dig and to Bourbon for running back and forth to me to teach me a skill while I was picking. It kept my mind off of Jeff crashing in the 7th lap and crying.

Yokir Alone in the Stadium

After the games were done, Eigam, Kartal, and I hung around and played a practice game. It was great. There was no one there but us and Cracotia as an interested observer. (I was very sorry that acro was turned off and I am making note to try Side Bends with Cracotia at a later date) Kartal whipped our butts and a great time was had by all.

Yokir Second Game

In the Second round at 5pm NYC time I did a bit better. Well Yokir is not my game.

Yokir

Yet. I was given as a wonderful gift, 5 cuttable sunstones and 3 carrot seeds. The sunstones very quickly turned into 1 eyelet and 1 bastet and 3 gems of no consequence whatsoever except they helped me practice making the full eye's.

April 24, 2009

Hip Hip Hooray.... I finished my pyro principal after grinding 1 aluminum into powder at the Saqq public compound. Thanks much to The Unwelcoming Committee for having such a great public compound.

pyro principal

April 23, 2009 YAY, the pyro exhibition was wonderful. There were great fireworks and a big shout out to McArine for the winning firework. My firework actually went up in the air and was considered legitimate and plopped right down on my head. It was a very good show and I definitely look forward to judging and participating in future shows. Congrats to all the exhibitors. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture of the show or my shell.

April 22, 2009 So I signed up yesterday for Pyro at Meroe on Thursday night at 5pm eastern, New York City time. Justin answered many of my questions for my firework so a great big shout out to Justin. It is my very very first firework I have ever made in 3 tales and it's very exciting for me. It will go up in the air (at least it did when I test fired it) but I didn't realize how many mats I would need to really make a spectacular firework. So this first one that is named, Searching for Sami, is not as big as I would like it, but it stays up and if it stays up long enough I will take a picture of it for my blog tomorrow night. (the human is quietly laughing and keeping the comments to herself) I hope to see lots of people there to see my first little firework. YAY, Maybe Sami will even show up. The pyrotechnics stadium that the show is taking place is in Meroe 704,-3596 Hope to see you there.

April 20/21, 2009 Back to the work weekday and I'm just puttering around my compound at night and waking up and tending to animals. It's very annoying when you go to pick dates and someone has not fertilized your date tree after they have picked. I'm excited that my beetle, BooBette, is in the level 1 garden in Queens Retreat that is showing now. Some people have kindly asked which beetle it is and I'm afraid I won't tell so as to be fair to everyone. She certainly isn't the most innovative one since I'm rather short on talent in the beetle category. But I will keep trying and breeding. The beetles that is.

April 19, 2009 He Said My Name.... Well half of it. The following is a pictorial of my somewhat one sided conversation with my darling. There is no truth to the rumor he is filing a restraining order against me. He seemed very happy to see me :-) Sami1.jpg Samiteppy.jpg Butiwill.jpg 19.jpg Meanmat0.jpg Meanmat.jpg Meanmat2.jpg Sisters.jpg 20.jpg On a dismal note: Jeff came in 25th in the race last night-boohoo

April 18, 2009 Planting Ranting Ok, planting isn't the most exciting thing to do. I'm planting leeks to burn in the firepit to make ash that I have to stoke and I am very bad at stoking. So how do I make planting leeks a little more NOT boring? I went into my music on my computer. So a long time ago I took ALL of my cd's and put them in my windows media player for listening (which I never do when I'm on ATITD) and downloading on my Sandisk (I'm anti Ipod) Here I was browsing at some of the strange music on my puter that I never listen to and have never downloaded. Well what did I find? OMG Air Supply's Greatest Hits. Now if you have never heard them, they are very sappy from the 80's. I put the music on and for some really strange reason I know the words to every song. So..... Here I am planting leeks and never at all did one of them go to seed. It was planting leeks like nothing at all. Now, even the nights are better and I'm lost in leeks.

Yay, I made a Glory Hole. And who came up with that name? My acid baths are fizzling away to make, "The Tickler." And who came up with that name? Extra tubs were added for saltpeter and all work must cease at 8pm when the race begins. At that time I think I will just run around Egypt foraging and listening for cicadas. Or, if the moment strikes me, pay attention to my company who are coming over to watch the race.

April 17, 2009 The NASCAR race this weekend is Saturday night in Phoenix. Jeff qualified 4th. It will be a great night hanging out at my compound watching the race. Go Jeff Go. I wonder if Sami watches NASCAR. I'm almost sure Terrible Teppy knows something about it since he has Joe Gibbs name up in that little box every so often when I log in. Maybe because of the Redskins, but more importantly Joe owns Joe Gibbs Racing which fields a couple of Jeffs rivals in NASCAR. Now that was a little tidbit of useless information.

After trading away a bunch of stuff to get the stuff I need to make the stuff I need, I have started to actually work on my pyrotechnics. I have signed up for a show for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, New York City time. Now if enough people don't pick that date then it's a no go. But I don't want to sign up for one I can't get to. I noticed that I can have an illegitimate or legitimate shell and the only shell that really matters to me is the legitimate one. So I'm furiously working on my fireworks to make a nice display for whomever comes to view it. The name of my firwork is.... Searching for Sami

April 16, 2009 Congrats to MariahHotep who got zapped for her empty hand puzzle. I am happy to announce that I taught my 700th facet to NathanielRa. P.S. Still looking for 1 facet of Pushup to complete acro.

April 15, 2009 Shhhhh in honor of pay your taxes day in the USA I took the day off from Egypt and went shopping and paid alot of taxes.

April 14, 2009

convo1

and to think, I was having a hot flash in the middle of this conversation. P.S. I passed the towers principal today and gave out around 30 facets to others which was very cool. Oh Yes.. and I'm on vacation here in Egypt for the week, and that's very cool too. And what is a deckle anyway?

Hip Hip ..... Hoorah, Hip Hip ..... Hoorah, Hip Hip ...... Hoorah.

My conflict shrine finally is finished. Here it is right next to my compound in all its glory. Of course that's me on the podium accepting my oscar and taking the photo op as usual.

April 13, 2009

So here I am with the Little Shop of Horrors mushroom aka carrion. It really is very cute, although it didn't yell Stanley when I picked it. It was an up and down afternoon/evening. It seems that there are these sisters that may be going after my darling Sami. Now I know that Sami has never spoken with me, but that’s only because terrible teppy (which he will forever be known as by me) keeps him so busy all the time. Sunday I was unable to be in Egypt for the day and there was a whole scenario that took place, yada, yada, yada. Well let it be known that I will not cease my quest for the future Pharaoh of Egypt, your Saminess, just because of two silly sisters. On the upside, Forgiving and I did three veneries. It was extremely enjoyable and a big shout out to Dreasimy, Malard, and Ping for their hard work. A special SHOUT OUT to Forgiving for putting up with me during the long period we were doing the veneries together.

April 12, 2009 Happy Easter! Congratulations to my favorite tennis player Roger Federer for marrying his long time girlfriend Mirka. I'll hop on and off today before I go and enjoy the holiday celebration with family and friends. The best to everyone.

April 11, 2009 So I didn't get much further than QR and Meroe this evening. Here I was out in the boonies of Meroe running towards the cs and someone says that Sami is at Orrin's compound. I have no idea where Orrin's cp is, but before I could hit the cs Sami was gone. I wasn't dressed properly anyway. I was in my little mining outfit and it was certainly inappropriate for the next Pharaoh.

This late afternoon and evening I'm going on a journey around Egypt. I haven't done that for quite awhile and it is time to stretch my legs and ponder the wonders of this great land. My first stop was Queens Retreat.

osiris

Hekatef was fishing and Aloahe gave a big hello. It was pretty quiet there and I suspect everyone was preparing for an evening of shrooming and whatnot. Whatever whatnot is. As I traveled I met Jodpar and Luvika on Meroe chat. Luvika did her very first bijou so a big shout out to her. (even though when an otter location was called she dropped that bijou like a hot potato and ran...haha ) I stumbled upon an Eye of Osiris that was very very pretty. But only 1.

Congrats to Korrin for passing acro. You go girl! I put my beetle, BooBette, on display today in a Level 1 garden. It was very exciting getting a level for Scarabs but I didn't get a zap :( . I read P! As Sigil explained paint earlier today and I am still befuddled. I didn't even know that RBG or RGB was red blue green. I built my paint thingy and I am determined to understand how to get good at this. My pyro is taking forever to work on since the salts take forever. I don't have mines for every type of salt that can be made so I have made some trades at The Goods to get the 7 of each to make the salts. It's definitely not easy playing the game as a casual medium player. I have traded for the 2 Mud Granite to get my beetle exhibited and without trading and the greatest, nicest, kindest, rich friends, it would be almost impossible to gather the resources to level up and be able to make the things I want. Plus, if I was gathering all the stuff I needed all the time I wouldn't be able to run around Egypt just enjoying the landscape and people who make Egypt what it is.

April 10, 2009 A big SHOUT OUT to Deer_Farrow it’s a weekly update creatively written by Forgiving. Thank you so much for the mention this week and hopefully Farrow will listen and Sami will leave a message on my blog or better yet, come visit me in Egypt one day. Sigh.

April 9, 2009 Things you can do while stoking potash.’ Make the bed. Stoke. Dust the furniture in one room. Stoke. Move your little notes to the big ATITD notebook. Stoke. Throw out the garbage. Stoke. Make sure the watermine is on. Straighten your desk. Stoke. If you're really fast, you can do multiple things while you're stoking. Put all your mines on one page and cross them out on other pages. Stoke. Why is that salt shaker on my desk?

April 8, 2009 Flax, Dry, Firepit, Potash... Repeat. Grow Leeks, Flax, Dry, Firepit, Potash, and Repeat. Grow Papy, Leeks, Flax, Dry, Firepit, Potash, Repeat. I already forgot what I was making.

Why did I think that Frankie Avalon was Paul Anka on American Idol? Too much flax, dry, firepit, potash, repeat. Grow Leeks, Flax, Dry, Firepit, Potash, and Repeat. Grow Papy, Leeks, Flax, Dry, Firepit, Potash, Repeat.

April 7, 2009 Flax Flax Flax, before these great seeds become an exploit. Might as well exploit them as much as I can.

April 6, 2009

Something mysterious has occurred. Teppy was explaining an RP game within the game, suddenly he said the following.

teppyrant

What did he mean by that? He is once again exploiting the kindness of my dear Sami. Anyone who knows anything knows that Sami, Wahim, and Teppy are 3 different characters. Teppy is a voice on chat, Wahim is the bad brother who is making us work our butts off at tests, and Sami, my sweet Sami, provides us with all sorts of wonderful contests to enjoy. (Conflict Shrine at my cp is waiting for OSM which may take awhile) So when Teppy the voice said he was playing Sami and Wahim, well I just hit the roof. You see, I think it means he is playing them. Like they are being played. Now I don't care if he plays Wahim, but I don't think that Sami would stand for being played. Rating? I rate Sami up there with elmar's obi. As for an RP character, feel free to contact me anytime Sami dear.

cory

Congrats to cory0210 for building his funerary temple. It's really cool looking :-)

April 5, 2009 YAY YAY YAY Jeff won for the first time ever at Texas Motor Speedway ... YAY YAY JeffsDaBest 24

On a calmer side note, a few SHOUT OUTS, one to oicurtis for taking the time to run over to me and acro and congrats for passing acro, the second one to Atheus for teaching me CW. I never thought I would get it. Now for PU, it's the last one I need.

elmarobi

The last shout out for the evening goes to elmar of Saqqarah. He built such a huge obi that it casts a shadow over Saqqarah in the moonlight. Here's to elmar, proving to all, that bigger is better. elmar, you rock. (about that obi, oh never mind, this blog is PG)

An emotional camel rant...Using up tons of leather for mines and what not has become a pain. So after having up a second empty camel pen for a few days, I decided to put in some straw to catch me a camel. First I tried with 200, nope... 2000, nope, 3000, nope, 3500, nope, finally 5000 and a male camel came to rest in the pen. So today I put in another 5k and YAY a female camel came to rest in the pen. Meanwhile I noticed that in the other pen there was a new female. Now, just like almost everyone, I often just slaughter the extra camels, BUT, when I clicked on the pen to see the health of the camels out of curiosity, the following box came up.

Baby Camel

Now how do you slaughter a new born camel when a box like that comes up? So I decided to stand here and make potash until it just says the camels are healthy. Every so often I check it and the same message comes up. I can see that there will be no slaughtering in my camel pen until that message change, which may take awhile. I'm such a mush.

OK the message in the box changed. It took me 2 seconds to slaughter it.

April 4, 2009 A truly historical day in Egypt. I can't tell you how many times I yelled OMG OMG OMG... So I text messaged my friend Pitaboo to tell her and she text me back, OMG OMG OMG....

Huge Ruby

April 3, 2009 Jeff will start in second place on Sunday at Texas Speedway. My 70 glass rods are done, and now I ponder how the heck I am going to get 8 OSM. A very terrible thing happened today. If you read the blog regularly, you know that I'm a huge Roger Federer fan. Well I taped the match on my DVR today and tonight while making the glass rods watched his semi final match in Florida. Total meltdown. It was a terrible experience for me as a fan to watch. He smashed his racket, which I have never seen him do before, and lost two sets and the match after winning the first set. He looked awful and it takes a lot for me to say that about Roger. It was the end of an era.

April 2, 2009 All right, enough of the embracing the new day. I am burnt out from making the 70 iron bars. Next are 70 glass rods and I admit I am not looking forward to it. The worst is the 7 OSM, actually 8, 1 so I can get conflict shrine construction. But then it's done and there will be some form of satisfaction from having finished it. I think, or should I say I hope. Or will I look at it and say, what the heck was I thinking? Time will tell, until tomorrow.

A new day. I feel like embracing it. Huggers to a new day. While I'm hugging the new day, I'll just make some Iron bars. 20 down, 50 to go. My poor compound is loaded up with student forges to make the bars. Woe is me.

April 1, 2009 70 Iron bars. 15 minutes each. Well this is going to take time. And on an annoying note... my sapphire sand mine only seems to have small sapphires and sand. I really need 7 meds for the shrine so tonight, I'm digging away. Done.

Note to self for next April Fools Day. Keep it to yourself BooBoo.
