Sinai Aquaduct

We need loads of help getting the pump up and running! All the raeli ovens are built and dredging so we need to prepare the rest of the mats.

The pump requires the following:

  • 600 Steel Wire
  • 600 Copper Wire
  • 120 Moon Steel Sheeting
  • 1 Cistern
  • 50,000 White Raeli Tiles
  • 30,000 Greenish Raeli Tiles
  • 30,000 Yellowish Raeli Tiles
  • 30,000 Pinkish Raeli Tiles
  • 50,000 Black Raeli Tiles
  • 100,000 Any color of Raeli Tiles
  • 50,000 Rotproof, Rigid, Nontoxic Boards (Recipe: Sulfur 50s, Lime 40s, Water 30s, Oil 20s, Beeswax 20s)
  • 10,000 Concrete
  • 100 Oyster Shell Marble
  • 100 Night Granite
  • 100 Grey Star Marble

How you can help with the Aquaduct Pump:
Other than finished materials in the list above we can also take donations of raw materials.

For the Rotproof Rigid Nontoxic boards we need the following:

  • Sulfur
  • Lime
  • Beeswax
  • Boards

Any help with placing quarries is greatly appreciated.

All of the mats for concrete are also welcome. We will have a gravel party at some point. Donations of the following are needed for concrete:

Bloom and Logo were kind enough to donate the 600 cement for the concrete to be done! We just need gravel!

  • 12/170 Medium Stones OR
  • 500/10,000 Gravel

Moon Steel:

  • Antimony/Pewter
  • Steel

Towers and the Test of Life

The guild will provide most of the Raeli Tiles but any donations of tiles are always appreciated. Each tower requires the following:

  • 1 Cistern
  • 5 Copper Pipe
  • 200 Black Raeli Tiles
  • 100 White Raeli Tiles
  • 50 Yellowish Raeli Tiles
  • 50 Reddish Raeli Tiles
  • 50 Greenish Raeli Tiles
  • 50 Blueish Raeli Tiles
  • 100 Concrete
  • 20 Tar

Starting tower tile stock progress:

  • Black 0/4000
  • White 0/2000
  • Yellowish 0/1000
  • Reddish 1000/1000
  • Greenish 0/1000
  • Blueish 1000/1000

In order to have an idea how many people wish to build a tower, please add your name to this list. This will not effect build order:
Phantasia
Vixsin
Bloomdido
Psychodelica
Akrian
Timm
zowee
Evil Snowman
Logosmaid
Payna

In addition to the costs of constructing the pump and towers that are listed above, there will be many materials required to increase the height of each tower. I have put together a table of costs on the discussion tab which can be moved here in whatever form is decided upon. The table assumes that all the land we are building on is at sea level; we could lessen the cost by building over higher ground at the start of the line.

Donation Log

In order to decide who gets to build the initial towers (as the first built towers will pass before the next) we are keeping track of donations and participation and applying points to each. Everyone will get to build and pass in the end! This makes it fair to those who are working hard to build the aquaduct.

If you wish you commit any amount to a particular material add your name to the commitments column to avoid double work!

Any donations of raw materials towards the making of concrete, treated boards, or moon steel will be given points fairly on a case by case basis. Participation in things like cement stirs or gravel making or quarry building will also be given points on a case by case basis.

We'd like to give a really big thanks to Myn, TabiaSiti and Payna for helping us tremendously with tiles. It would have taken us a LOT longer if we had not received thousands upon thousands of wonderful tiles from them :) Payna spent entire days baking tiles for us and running them up to our site. Absolutely fantastic.
