Carrot waves are a series of peaks in carrot production that move across egypt in a southwesterly direction, with the angle being based on max yield of the wave. So far I've documented in detail 2 peaks of waves, and demonstrated to myself that I can predict where they will be after a certain length of time. However, while I have proved how they wrap to the north side of the map, at this point I have not verified my theories on what points they start at on the east side of egypt so I cannot predict a new wave, just tell you exactly where a known wave will be in however many hours later you need.

Wave Movements

When a wave goes off the south end of the map, it appears at the north end of the map, with the same x value it had at the bottom. Bear in mind, these are unmodified values for the wave, once veggie pyramids are built, you have to subtract the added bonus from the pyramid to find the wave movement

  • Yield 7: 1W 3S every teppyminute
  • Yield 8: 1W 3S every teppyminute
  • Yield 10: 1W 2S every teppyminute
  • Yield 11: 1W 2S every teppyminute
  • Yield 14: 1W 2S every teppyminute
  • Yield 16: 1W 2S every teppyminute
  • Yield 17: 1W 1S every teppyminute

Theories(unproven)

  • A wave that goes off the west end of the map continues until it goes off the south end of the map as well, and then appears at north end again, with it's x value modified to be on the map, either with or without shadow symmetry as described above
  • Because different peak yields have different angles of travel, different waves can intersect with each other for a brief time, causing an important effect(I believe it may either compound the yield between the two, produce an extra seed, or both)
  • Waves end completely when they go off west side of map, but new waves start at east end at random or patterned intervals

Theories(debunked)

  • When a wave goes off the west end of the map, it reappears on the east end with the same y value attached
  • When a wave goes off the west end of the map, it continues until -5120(as opposed to -3070) before it wraps over, in order to maintain symmetry with east side of map and then appears with same y value attached

Known waves

Since I still don't have a proven theory for W/E transfer of waves, the waves on this table are temporary, but still last for some time, therefore I'm going to put the date/time these waves go off the west end of egypt, at which point I will likely remove them, unless my 2 experiments on Peret III-26 yield fruit(or veggies as the case may be :D)
