Pharaoh's Garden Game Event 6: Burning SETESH

Welcome to Pharaoh's Garden Game Event 6.

Pharaoh's Garden is a gift from Pharaoh to the players of Tale 6. The Garden is designed to be a venue for airship games, foot races and other player run events. The Garden is intended to be a permanent feature for future tales.

This event will be an wood gathering event with a limited time frame.

Burning SETESH: 2 hours

SCHU has boasted of the greatness of Egypt's people by their creation of sculptures using clinker.

SETESH does not believe this to be a worthy challenge and seeks to prove that the challenges he can put forth are better ones.

SETESH believes that challenges that do not require sacrifice are unworthy of the gods. To this end, SETESH has created the Burning SETESH challenge: to create bonfires as offerings to the greatness of SETESH.

Players will have 2 hours to bring wood and build bonfires in Pharaoh's Garden as an offering to the god SETESH. The largest bonfires will win prizes.

Bonfires must be a minimum of 500 wood. Additions to a bonfire must be made in multiples of 100 wood. There is no upper limit.

NOTE 1: All wood and bonfires become the property of SETESH at the end of the event. SETESH will take them away from the mortal world.

Details:

There are 3 categories: Solo, Team and Guild.

To register a basket must be built in Pharaoh's Garden near the Blue Banner.

Solo players will register by placing a personal chit in their basket.

Team players by placing personal chits in the basket for each member of the team and notifying the Aero Club Officials that they are registering their team AT THE START of the event.

Guilds will register by having an Elder in the Guild place a chit in a basket and notifying the Aero Club Officials that they are registering their guild AT THE START of the event.

Note: All players must notify Aero Club officials of their bonfire locations and entry status, AT THE START of the event. Aero Club officials will note the locations and their entry status as Solo, Team or Guild Entry.

Players may enter all categories but each category must have it's own bonfire.

Ex: A player entering all three categories would have three separate bonfires.

Note: Baskets require 28 dried flax + 8 boards and hold 1,000 bulk.

To contribute to a player's score, the bonfire must be a minimum of 500 wood and increases in size must be in units of 100. eg 100, 200, 500. Odd lot amounts will not count.

Everyone will start at the same time.

Everyone will have 2 hours to build their baskets and gather wood and build bonfires in the park.

To finalize their entry players must transfer ownership to SETESH. Bonfire ownership maybe transferred at any time during the event. All transfers are final.

There is no restriction on travel to and from the park for this event. You may spouse warp, way point, or use wings of horus to bring herbs to the park. The chariot is open both way from South Egypt to Memphis.

If any player needs Special Assistance please contact the Aero Club prior to the start of the event to make arrangements.

Official Notes Official Counts

We use the registration baskets as our list to give out participation prizes.

We will have to track the locations of the bonfires in case they get over built by a larger one.

We can use the “built by” name to help track the bonfires and what category it is in.

We have to note players building in multiple categories, if they are the ones making the initial bonfire, as their names could be on more than 1 bonfire. A player could technically have 3 bonfires in their name but each entered into a separate category.

Example of multiple ownership to watch for:

Solo Bonfire Built by Player A Player A Team Bonfire Built by Player A Player A + Player B Guild Bonfire Built by Player A Player A (as an Elder in the Guild)

Largest bonfires in multiples of 100 win. Odd lot amounts are rounded down. Ex 199 = 100.

Basket Building Location Needs

Sculpture Event had 15 entries and 39 voters.

Expect @30 participants for this event because of Solo, Team and Guild cross registration.

The area where the baskets should be built needs to accommodate this and remain visible to all players and officials.

Also, some areas cannot be built on due to landscaping items, such as the area directly next to the piers, which is a roadway item.

Bonfire Building Location Needs

Bonfires can get really big. So the location for them may need some consideration.

Small bonfires of 500 wood could easily be lost by the overlap foot print of a 50,000 wood bonfire.

Special care and perhaps some Nik pushing might be needed to keep the bonfires separate and visible.

Prize Considerations

We have 3 categories of prizes: Solo, Team and Guild

There are separate participation prizes for Solo and Team but not Guild.

I would like Top 3 and Top 5 to avoid First-Place-itis.

This is very much a PVP type event. The prizes have to be worth much more than the wood being offered up. Some guilds and players have enormous supplies of wood. To get them to do this the prizes have to be extra special. We want players to be willing to dump 100,000 wood or more for them.

I would like to suggest a special “In The Middle of the Event” announcement that any player, team or guild building 1,000,000 wood bonfire would get something UTRA AWESOME.

Awards Party Considerations

I think we should have a big party at the Flight Deck for this event.

We should combine the bonfires into gi-normous ones and set them on fire at the Flight Deck.

Nik can go in stealth mode to light them up.

Wine and Hookahs of course. Fireworks if we want them. We still have some in the Party Pantry.
