Crackly Green Mottled

This page serves as a repository of research notes on Toxin EG04, the fourth mutagen unlocked in Eastern Grounds by Renard. It uses 3 Crackly Green Mottled (Negative to Fuzzy Hairy Spongy) moss and 6 Brain, 7 Slave's Bread mushrooms.

First mutation test: L-Vampire R-Silken

No change to either flower.

Second mutation test: L-Silken R-Vampire

Vampire has lost Magenta in outer stamen.

Next step

Not a particularly informative start, but the fact that Magenta was affected in the second test indicates that the first four genes of vampire were not affected, so the first six genes of silken were not affected in the first test. Hence, it was an I or a Y swapped in the first test, and not an O.

Still, with so little information to go on, crossing Delicate and Fracture left and right is my usual fallback.

Third mutation test: L-Delicate R-Fracture

Yellow has been removed from the outer stamen, but yellow has spread to all three sections of the stamen. IYIY has been replaced by IYIY.
L-Delicate 9 or 11 (I)
Fracture has become a Semi-Dwarf, but no colour is visible in the stamen.
R-Fracture 3 or 7 (Y)

Fourth mutation test: L-Fracture R-Delicate

No change to Fracture.
In Delicate, the outer stamen has lost magenta.
Since Fracture has not changed, but Delicate has, Fracture's GOR region must have been affected.
If I was transferred from Delicate, it must have replaced the R, otherwise color would be visible on Fracture's stamen.
If O was transferred from Delicate, it must have replaced the G, otherwise cyan color would be visible on Delicate's stamen.

Results and next step

From the fourth test, we can see that the left splint affects genes 12 or 14, limiting the range on the left splint to 61.11-77.78%.
On Vampire, this limits the range from 8-10. 10 is not an option, so the range on the left splint is limited to 61.11-75%
Delicate has a limiting range of either 9 or 11 which imply ranges of 50-56.25% and 62.5-68.75%. Only the second option fits the above ranges.
L-Delicate 11(I)
L-Fracture 12(G)
L-Vampire 8(Y)
L-Silken 12(G)

Hence, in the first test, Silken provided a Y. This limits the range from 33.33-50%.
That limits it to the seventh gene for Fracture.
Hence, in test 4, the G must have been transferred to Delicate and replaced an O.
R-Fracture 7(Y)
R-Silken 7(Y)
R-Vampire 5(I)
R-Delicate 6(O)

Energy has been reduced to 2 possible genes on both the left and right splints.
L-Energy 27 or 28
R-Energy 15 or 16
VVVVV UYYY UYYY GYYY GYYY GRRO GRRO UROR UROR VVVVV
Inauspicious.

Crown has been reduced to 2 possible genes on both the left and right splints.
L-Crown 24 or 25
R-Crown 13 or 14
UROO UROO UROO V UR V OO V UR V OR V UROR UROR UROR
Right in the midst of the area that's hardest to test for. Moving on . . .

Clarity has been reduced to 2 possible genes on both the left and right splints.
L-Clarity 23 or 24
R-Clarity 13 or 14
IRIR IOIO IYIY GORR GROR GRRO GORR GROR GRRO
This is more promising.

Blush
L-Blush 17 or 18
R-Blush 9 or 10
GROR V GOOO V UROO V IO V IOO V IOOO
Crossing this with Clarity will probably be rather informative about what was affected on Blush, but has a high chance of not really narrowing anything down for Clarity.

Fifth mutation test: L-Clarity R-Clarity
